Review: A must buy for cyclist in pairs - These are just brilliant. Wanted something like my Cardo system I had for motorbike . Wasn’t sure I could get anything for cycling . Saw slot of a lot of options for smart helmets but wasn’t sure what would best suit me and my needs . Watched loads of utubes and reviews galore before deciding to buy a couple of senna pi pieces. Not cheap so I had to be sure . And these are great . I can swap them from helmet to helmet which was th e biggest drawback with smart helmets. I am able to select who I ride with by giving them a pair for the journey ( hubby/ daughter/ friend) the sound is great . Hear each other perfectly as though we are having conversation next to each other. Wire is tucked away easily in helmet , no complicated wires to install each time . Range is perfect, if your cycling together you never more than a mile apart. Came in perfect for safety. On a night ride out I lost my main light on the road which was then ran over by a car so I was riding depending a lot on hubby bike light for guidance or motorists with headlights . Even I though I went on foot paths to stay safe it was super scary - pitch black . We were easily able to communicate when I couldn’t see end of path. Hubby was able to stay close and keep me safe. If it wasn’t for these Sena pi’s , hubby would have riden off not knowing what had happened and I would have freaked out being on my own in total darkness . Fantastic buy
Review: Very neat and practical yet powerful headsets - In recent years my wife and I have become keen tandemists (is that a word?).now the thing with husband and wife tandemists is that they either both love it or it’s grounds for divorce. There is not a lot of middle ground! And the biggest problem that arises is communication. It is essential on a tandem that both the pilot, the one at the front, and the stoker, the one with the view of the one in front, are most definitely on the same page when navigating through the busy roads of today. If one stops pedalling for instance, it can lead to the other being launched skywards when the expected pedal does not go downwards. Also if one decides to wave in a friendly manner at the passer by shouting ‘she’s not pedalling in the back’. This is an unwritten rule when ever you see a tandem by the way. It causes we tandemists no end of laughter at this witty repose every hundred yards on our quiet day out. Where was I? Oh yes, communication. We purchased a set of the subject Sena Pi headsets on the recommendation of a fellow tandemists and we have not been disappointed. The speech is clear and distinct and the wind reduction works well. They work well over a considerable distance as well, very useful when the pilot, ie me, is sent in for ice cream while the boss guards the machine outside. It causes much amusement to those around as I mumble through all the available options, apparently talking to myself but does save me from the ignominious failure of buying the incorrect flavour for how my lady is feeling on the day in question. The headphones are very light, neat and unobtrusive and fit on the helmet straps. On the occasions we have cycled rather than ridden the tandem the range has proved more than adequate for clear communication.

**Q: Having trouble with these. bought 2 pair. i dont want to pair these to phone. only headset to headset.  i tried holding the two buttons down on each**
A: How to pair two units to each other without using a phone:
When the unit first powers on, it announces the following: "Hello, phone pairing.".
After power on is complete, hold the minus (-) button on the first unit until you hear it announce: "Intercom pairing.".  Release the button. The unit will beep and flash red while attempting to pair with another unit. On the second unit, hold the minus (-) button until you hear the second unit announce: "Intercom pairing." It will also beep and flash red while attempting to pair with the first unit.  Both units will stop beeping and will flash blue when pairing is successful. It could take a minute or two for pairing to occur.  If unsuccessful, powered off, then on again and try again.  Make sure the batteries are reasonably charged up and the units are close to each other while pairing. Contrary to a previous response, the units will pair via bluetooth WITHOUT ever using a phone or app. I use the method described above all the time without ever using my phone.

**Q: Will it pair with multiple Sena helmets or only 2? Can that person still hear the others on a group ride?**
A: Only one more rider

**Q: What does it mean if no light is on when charging?**
A: My own experience:  The intercom is divided in two parts (one for the right ear and one for the left ear) amd when you connect the USB-C plug into the right part a red light turns on on the left part.  After the unit is fully charged the light turns blue.
In your case if you see no light, it probably mean the unit doesn't charge.  Check if you fully inserted the USB-C plug into the unit and that you really use a USB-C cable.  Check the source you plug it into or check you cable with an other device.  I suggest you to contact the manufacturer.

**Q: If you're connected to another headset and then switch to listen to music on my phone, can you easily go back to communicate with the other headset?**
A: If you are asking is there seamless switching between intercom and music I believe the answer is no.  Bluetooth pairing with the other headset would have to be interrupted.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make a big difference to a bike ride

Bought two - fitted them to my and my son’s helmets. Was awkward on his Specialized helmet due to the placement of the straps but still managed to install it without conflicting with sunglasses- which are always a necessity while riding due to bugs etc. Pairing with phone and with each other very easy if you follow instructions. Paired both with Sena apps too on IPhones to check for firmware upgrade. Sound quality acceptable (not great) but wind noise requires you to run them at a fairly high volume. They appear to keep sound on continuously even when nobody is speaking - wonder about battery life but we have been ok for up to 3 hour rides. Intercom drops if you do not maintain line of sight with each other. Happy with them and they help us ride together and chat while doing so - and safely. Used to have Cardo/Terrano BK-1 units which failed so can compare.
