"Switch" Immersion Dripper Set, Size 02

I've been loving the Hario Switch! V60's are already so well known so I won't get into that, but the switch opens up new possibilities of immersion or hybrid brews. It seems great for various skill levels, from beginners to experts. For pourover beginners like me (though I come from the high-precision rabbit hole of espresso), immersion brews seem more forgiving. And having discussed with those who are much more experienced, immersion and hybrid brewing are nice tools to add for your arsenal. The switch itself is easy enough to use and clean. I'd just be a bit more careful when cleaning it, as I have read about people accidentally breaking the mechanism. The carafe does the job, but that can be the first area to upgrade. Overall, this is essentially a V60 with the extra capability of stopping flow when desired. That alone opens up a world of possibilities while at minimum still being a perfectly fine V60 dripper.

I already had two pour over sets made in Japan - one ceramic, and one copper. I no longer use those, and just use this one. The results are faster and easier. I don't bother with the slow pour over process, and careful timing, and all the waiting. This is so much more practical. And its good quality. The glass and silicone have a nice heft to them, and don't seem too fragile. My only slightly complaint is that the filters don't fit super well and tend to fall over a bit - compared to the pour over systems with fluted filters which are more stable. I have to hold this filter open with one hand to pour the ground coffee in, and make sure its set in a stable way.

It's high quality construction and (maybe I'm just imagining this) makes a cup of coffee that's more flavorful than your average pour-over. My one regret is paying extra for the version that includes the tiny glass pitcher. It's only big enough to make one regular sized cup of coffee and the Switch fits on most any cup or mug. Really unnecessary accessory in my opinion.

It is already very popular for pour over coffee. For me, it makes me to try many other ways to brew coffee at home. Great quality and reasonable price!

The best V60 pour-over coffee product ever. The water-holding feature is especially great, as it allows the water to soak into the ground coffee for a few seconds before opening the flow to start the pour-over. This results in a rich and delicious concentrated brew. I highly recommend it for specialty-coffee enthusiasts.

I love using this over french press, not nearly the mess to clean up. Everything comes apart easy for cleaning. If/when I manage to fling this off my counter (my own doing) I will likely order another one of these.

I'm really enjoying my morning coffee using this pour over system. I don't like an overly strong coffee, but I do want a good taste, and this system provides me the means to adjust my brew. For those new to pour overs, this is a good system to start with as it's everything you need (sans the grind) to get started. The glass filter is thick and the silicone filter base solid. The filter's base has a tall round lip to keep it sturdy on the bottom container, which is great. The filter has slots in the side that help drain the coffee from the grounds. My one complaint: I find the lever pops off of the silicone too easy leaving the drain open. I've ended up with a weak cup here and there because of it.

It came fast without any damage.

Esta muy bonito todo y esta muy bien tener esta v60 switch como otra gran opción, la verdad solo lo uso cuando solo hago una sola taza de cafe, y la mayoría de los dias hago mas de una para toda mi familia, lo que me encanto es que la jarrita que trae también sirve como taza ya que es muy chiquita y es una taza muy única. La switch en si es muy fácil de usar y es una forma de hacer cafe muy fácil para principiantes. Mi única queja, es una queja realmente muy pequeña y es que lavarlo es un poquito mas difícil que una v60 normal ya que tiene muchas partes escondidas y si no tienes cuidado puedes perder la bolita que viene adentro o la pieza de plástico que hace funcionar el mecanismo

I usually use Aeropress and wanted a new coffee toy. This was on sale for S$27 so it seemed like something worth trying. It’s easy to use and set up. The glass is much sturdier and thicker than I expected. Before it arrived I was worried it would be fragile. I make sure to let it cool down before I wash it so I don’t damage it. I see what people mean when they say they’re worried the switch is fragile. It’s a bit of plastic that you certainly need to mind when you’re cleaning it. See my photo. I don’t even know if you could get a replacement switch if it breaks.
