For some mysterious reason, my toddler doesn't constantly try to eat these even though she tries to eat literally everything else. She does, however, absolutely adore them — and not just for doodling. They fit perfectly in her hand and are clearly satisfying to hold. They're genuinely easy for her to use — she can grip them well and scribble away without frustration. Fun fact: they fit in actual egg cartons, and if your kid is anything like mine, they will LOVE putting them all neatly into the carton one by one, then taking them out one by one, rinse and repeat. They write well enough (I mean, they're crayons). They feel super solid and haven't even chipped yet despite significant toddler abuse. They also make a very satisfying clacking sound when you tap two of them together, which is apparently endlessly entertaining. One downside: they become a major tripping hazard when scattered all over your floor... but that one's on us, not Crayola. The value for money is unbeatable.
