## Description

PlasmaGlow LED Activator Switches have an LED lighted ring around the button that lights up to let you know when the switch is active. Works at 12 Volts 10 Amp, 24 Volts 5 Amp, and 110 Volts AC 5 Amp. This is a universal switch that can be used to control anything. The switch is 100 percentage waterproof for damp/marine applications. Activator Switches have an IP67 Rating. This heavy duty switch has a mechanical life span of 1,000,000 uses, and an electrical life span, 50,000 uses. This is a standard switch, which you press to turn on, then press again to turn off.

Review: Positive Click On/Off andl Pleasant Soft-Blue Glow-Recommended - This switch has a great blue glow. Think carefully about placement. I saw a video where someone put them on the A-Pillar. I found this light to be pretty bright...but at night I turn down my panel display. You cannot adjust the brightness of this light "as is". So, I wired it out of line-of-sight at my seated right knee. Plenty bright to easily reach. One surprise on installation--the light is more deep than I expected. In my install, I had about 1.5 inches clear behind the hole I cut in the dash. Turns out, I needed about another 3/4 inch to fasten and route the wires. Lesson: Make sure you have enough clearance behind on the mounting space. I offer this because I've mounted many lights--didn't measure depth beforehand.

I typically leave the switch in the ON position, so that the fogs come on when the lights come on. I had no problem with the install or any other aspect of this switch. The reason for the 3 star rating is because of the brightness of the blue led: its too bright. At night, when the lights come on and the fogs are ON, the blue glow around the switch is too bright. The switch is installed in the center of my dash, near the HVAC controls (in the On-Star plate) and its just too bright for my taste. That said, I still use it, but it gets annoying at times and that makes me turn it off. Otherwise, its a fantastic switch and I really like the flush mount on my dash.
