The water erasable blue marker is best for light fabrics. This system is a little pricey but has most of everything you want for quilting. It has accuracy, a fine line and refills. I would suggest only marking a section at a time. Handling the fabric a lot will cause the markings to fade. To keep the lines crisp mark as much as you plan to sew at that time. I have used other chalk markers that make a line that is too thick and imprecise. I also recently bought a pen that was a total waste of money.
