If you open the door where you load the cartridges it should have the cartridge info on the door. I kept buying ones that said it was compatible, but would never work. Buy what the printer has printed on the printer door. ,

Can 245 be used instead of 275?

No. I tried and the printer (Canon TS3500 series) rejected it.

what is amr for canon printers?

I could not figure out what AMR meant either as I did not see those letters on the Canon website where you can order them as well. However, I did order the cartridges from Amazon since Canon was out of stock at the time and they looked exactly like the original cartridge.
