Can this be used as a self-standing caddy - does it have enough weight to not be tipsy, when not attached to any rack?

I tried it out myself and it can be used as a self-standing caddy. I've put 2 spoons, 2 knives, 2 forks, chopsticks and a ladle (all stainless steel products) and it stood by itself. Just make sure not to put something long and heavy alone like a stainless steel ladle alone, it will fall down.

Does the bottom have small holes so straws dry thoroughly?
