Harley-Davidson: The Complete History

I got this as a gift for my father who is in his 60s and has had his Harley for over three decades now. He has a lot of different books on motorcycles but this is now his new favorite! They put a lot of thought into the contents and pictures which really shows when you start reading.

This Harley-Davidson: The Complete History is a gorgeous book! When the box arrived, I was surprised at how heavy is was. Opening the box, I actually gasped in delight: I thought it was ‘just’ the hard-bound book, but there is also a hard-bound case that goes over the book! I guess I missed that detail when I ordered it so it was such a beautiful surprise. The cover has cutouts so you can see the three motorcycles that are depicted on the front cover of the book—love it! I was so excited for my guy to open this gift. It’s just gorgeous, and the photos inside are of course in color and beautifully done. My BF is a Harley (and motorcycle) ‘nut’ so I was incredibly happy to give this to him, and he was super happy to find it in his gift bag for Christmas. He loved it, a lot! My photos don’t do it justice. It’s really nicely done. It’s a perfect coffee-table book or whatever else you want to do with it. But it’s made to display because it’s just a beautiful book. The history is divided in to eras. There are plenty of photographs. While I did not read any of the text, my bf will read every word. I really felt I got my money’s worth on this one. Almost $50 for a book may seem a lot, but a lot went in to making this book gorgeous. Worth every penny. I highly recommend. I hope my review helped you today.

THIS IS A REALLY GOOD LOOKING BOOK, WOULD MAKE A COFFEE TABLE BOOK AND APPEARS TO BE A GOOD INFORMATIONAL BOOK

Beautiful book, it’s the perfect coffee table book. I bought it for my boyfriend and we’re no longer together so I still have it. But it’s well bound. It comes sealed, vacuum sealed, which is nice. It’s a great book.!

I have had Harley-Davidson motorcycles for over 50 years and though I do not pretend to know every thing about them, this is a great book about HD's history. The photos are top notch and the information is well written and accurate. I have read about 3/4 of it and have not found any mistakes, like some of the other HD books I have read. This book is not only informative, but fun to read with excellent photos. Buy it, read, it and it will take a place of honor in your library.

For any Harley owner that is truly interested in the history of the brand this is a very well written bike. In addition to the details presented the pictures included are outstanding. I only have two minor complaints regarding the book that keep it from being a full 5 star. The pictures are outstanding but they aren't normally in the chapters related to those models. It's a bit confusing to be readying about a bike from 26 and the pictures are from the mid-30's and so forth. The other issue that I have is the font size is rather small and light in color. For those of us that are beyond middle age that makes it difficult at times to read and follow.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my boss at work. The look on his face when he unwrapped the gift said it all. He is a huge Harley Davidson fan and was gobstruck to get the book. My boss doesn't read much but I can guarantee he read that book from cover to cover.

As a designer, I like to use this on a coffee table or bedside table to make that man of the household feel included. Gave it to my father in law & my husband. they liked it. nice simple clean lines.
