The seals are where the PVC ends meet the body of the rotameter. **Q: What is the working psi rating for this device at 70f?** A: Maximum pressure is 85 psi **Q: What is the minimum length of lead in pipe required to maintain a flow profile at the specified worst case accuracy?** A: It is good practice to approach the flowmeter inlet with as few elbows and restrictions as possible. The inlet piping should be as large as the connection to the flow meter. Length of inlet piping makes little difference for normal pressure fed flowmeters. Discharge piping should also be as large as the flowmeter connection and should not have an elbow or restriction immediately after the rotameter. For water flowmeters, water is generally incompressible and moderate back pressure will not affect the accuracy of the rotameter as calibrated. **Q: is this suitable to be used to meter liquid fertilizers?** A: Most likely no. These are calibrated to the specific gravity of water, (1.0) whereas the specific gravity of fertilizer would probably be around 1.5-1.8? It would depend on the makeup of the fertilizer. We are a manufacturer, so if you knew the specific gravity of the fertilizer we could custom make rotameters and calibrate it to your specific gravity. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Monitors fluid flow well *by on Reviewed in the United States May 27, 2024* Product works as it should. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great with my QT non pressurized flow center *by on Reviewed in the United States July 19, 2016* Works Great with my QT non pressurized flow center. I used PVC also ( ToolmanJohn's design with a few changes ) but took a coupling and added to the end of the 90 where it would be pushed onto the QT return pipe. Chucked up the coupling in the lathe and flared it a bit to make it easier to find the QT return pipe. It reads the same as a borrowed unit that was over $400. This is a valuable tool to adjust the flow to the proper rate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can't be used vertical *by on Reviewed in the United States January 25, 2021* I bought this item to use in a geothermal heating system to measure the gpm. The description did not state that this item will only work in a horizontal set up. I wish the description would have been more clear. Cost me $10 in shipping to return. Looks like a good product if you need a horizontal set up. ## Frequently Bought Together - PRM 2-20 GPM Water Rotameter Flow Meter, 1 Inch Female NPT Connection, Acrylic Body with PVC End Tails, 316 SS Plunger & Travel Rod, Viton Seals, Max Pressure 85 PSI, Max Temp 125°F, ±4% Accuracy - YOTOO Polyurethane Recoil Air Hose, Air Compressor Hose 1/4" Inner Diameter by 25' Long with Bend Restrictor, 1/4" Industrial Quick Coupler and Plug, Blue --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.id/products/30825311-prm-2-20-gpm-water-rotameter-flow-meter-1-inch](https://www.desertcart.id/products/30825311-prm-2-20-gpm-water-rotameter-flow-meter-1-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Indonesia* *Store origin: ID* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
