Because the floss is so thick, if your teeth are close together, it may shred as you remove it, sometimes leaving pieces of the floss between your teeth, but you can avoid this by pulling the floss out from the side, rather than up between the teeth.The only negative is that the threads can get tangles as you pull them out of the box.
