Quality produce. Promises made, Promises kept
This phone holder is quality. It's just the right size, holds the phone in place with the rubber shelf and backing. The foam beads adjust to any desk, lap, or whatever. Has a zipper for holding pen or stylus. Very pleased

Ten stars for the iProp Bed & Lap Stand
This iProp Bed and Lap Stand is well thought out and well made. It works perfectly for my iPad Air, better even than I expected when I ordered it. Have been using it for about two weeks. Where my iPad goes, it goes. It's lightweight - you forget it's parked on your chest when you're lying in bed. The durable but flexible shelf material doesn't allow the iPad to slip and slide. It is adjustable. The micro-bead bag shifts around into whatever position you want, and holds its position, as you manipulate the tablet to the angle you need. It has a convenient, tough little carrying loop on top. I hook my middle finger through the loop, my thumb over the iPad, and carry the two around together, securely and effortlessly, from place to place, with one hand. In the bead bag compartment there is room for an iPad cable, I'm thinking. Wish I had designed this iProp prop. Would give it ten stars if 'twere possible.

Good for holding up tablet around the house or while traveling. Highly functional product!
Exceeded my expectations. Works great with any regular sized iPad and the mini as well. Not so compatible with big iPad Pro. The rubber component in which you place the tablet keeps a surprisingly solid grip on device. I was skeptical when first ordering due to some reviews regarding how light the stand was. It is extremely light, there is no doubt about that. However it does not hinder the stands ability to hold iPad in a secure manner. Really good stand and highly recommended. Would have given 5 stars if it were more compatible with iPad Pro.

Great stand for a good price!
I have a 4th Gen iPad mini and spend a lot of time reading on it - newspapers, magazines and books - and some time playing games. For years I'd used stands I got on Etsy for almost twice the price of the iProp. My original stand wore out and I was unhappy with a design change and an increase in price and decided to look for something else. I was skeptical of the iProp because it was so small (half the length of my old log shaped stand) and lightweight but it had great reviews and was relatively inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. After using it for hours over two days I love it! It's much more stable than it appears - I've had no trouble with it tipping or falling over on my lap, in bed next to me, on the kitchen counter, etc. Given the stability, I like that's it's smaller and lightweight because I take my stand when I travel and this one will be much easier to pack. I also love the hard support for the iPad, and the fact that the shelf part of the support has an opening for a charging cable (i.e. you can charge the iPad while it's on the stand and being used). Very well designed and constructed - It's the best stand I've found for my iPad and I've looked at many over the years! Recommended.

Falls over too easily
As a few other reviewers have mentioned, it tends to fall forward the moment you place anything in it that it is intended to hold. I purchased this for my son who is disabled and is limited to using one hand to use devices. Whether placed on your lap or a flat surface next to you, it seems unable to hold anything up. I was able to get a bit more stability out of it by taking the "bean" bag out of it and compressing some of the beans down, as I believe part of the problem is the bag being too full. Also, when placing the bag back in the compartment making sure to line up the bag design with the container design. I'm now able to push the flat part that holds the devices back far enough that it is somewhat usable, but it still doesn't work as well as it should and you can't expect everyone to futz with your product that much just to get it somewhat usable.

Disappointed!
I am very surprised that this got so many five star reviews because that’s what I relied on when I bought it and I am very disappointed in it. I specifically bought it so I could read my iPad in bed without having to hold it. However, if I am lying in bed and have it on my stomach or chest it tends to fall over forwards. I have a flat stomach, so that’s not the issue, but it’s because it is so stuffed with beads that it pushed the holder forward. And the bag that holds the beads is small and lightweight and does not stay very stable. It seems to work fine if I keep my left hand on the back of the bag, but then it defeats the purpose of the handsfree selling point. It works fine on a desk or flat surface, but if you want it to read in bed think twice about it.

Best product ever
I have now had this propper-upper for just over 7 years. I am currently using it with a Kindle Fire10, which is just over 10" tall. No issues with it sliding out or falling out of the place where it rests. I use it for reading in bed. Prop it up on my stomach. Can adjust to whatever angle I want at the moment. I sometimes might fall asleep that way and have woken up with the device and Kindle still in place. I don't know what I would do without this. I have arthritis in my hands and this is a huge factor in allowing me to still be able to read a lot. Also use it when doing video calls when holding a cell phone for a long period starts to wear on your arm / hand. Have used it for hours and hours at a time and don't have any issues. (Besides it would be great if it came in some other color besides just black. Hint, hint.) I can use the handle to carry it around with my Kindle leaning on it too. Doesn't grab and hold the Kindle like some kind of vice grip, but it is seated well enough that unless I tip it out deliberately it is stable. So, excellent longevity as I am still using it daily after 7 years. Other models of this type of thing are much bigger and I also like this one because it is big enough to do the job without being bigger than a breadbox.

I ADORE this ipad holder! This is my 2nd purchase - the first one lasted for years. This is for you if you are a “slouchy” person. I have a chronic pain issue & spend most of my life in a recliner, squiggling around trying to find a semi-comfortable position. Typically, my ipad holder winds up on my tummy, or the arm of my chair. Since this is basically a big bean bag, it’ll mold around whatever curves it happens to encounter. I’m not sure it’s best for more ‘rigid’, tabletop users. I think the angle that the screen ends up at is best for someone like me or someone who maybe wants to use it propped up on pillows in bed at night, etc. Angle is good in portrait and landscape. The ban bag part of this holder has a zipper on it, which serves a couple of handy functions. First, when I’m travelling I can store my cable in there, stylus if I need it and can find it easily again when I unpack. And second, after a few years, the bean bag does start to get a little ‘soft’. I think the company now offers extra bags that you can buy & switch out, but personally? I threw in a (new, unused) dollar store kitchen sponge & popped the old bean bag back on top and the loft and angle were perfect again. The rubber “ledge” that holds the ipad “snaps” off, so you can remove the ledge and bean bag and wash the cover. For those that don’t use an ipad, I just looked. With my ipad mini resting in the ledge, there is still about 1/2cm space left if you have a larger tablet. This might not be the solution for everybody, but for those who sit like I do? You’ll love this ipad holder!

Love how light it is and small. Use it for my e book when reading in bed.

Despite having a cover on my ipad mini that acts as a prop/support, I do find that when sitting in bed or in a chair, that my ipad is either so low that the bed covers obscure the lower part of the screen or it just wont balance properly. I already have a very pretty cos-e-reader wedge-shaped ipad cushion (about 3 times the size of this one) which I use at home, but I was looking for something as good, but more compact that I could take with me when I travel or on holiday. I did a great deal of research both on Amazon and elsewhere and finally chose this cushion. The reasons are: Size - Being about the size of a cantaloupe melon or just over the size of a DVD (but ball shaped!), it's perfect for travelling, being small and squishy enough to take up little room, but big enough to hold my ipad very easily, indeed I cant imagine it would have any trouble with a full-sized ipad Removable cover - this is very easy to do and is a drawback of my cos-e-cushion which is beginning to get grubby from bed-time hand cream routine and breakfasts in bed :) This cover is completely removable/washable. It reminds me of the old "airtex" shirts from the 80's! Removable plastic support shelf - this basically has press-studs which attach it to the cover, so couldn't be easier to remove. Carry handle - not in and of itself exactly a selling point, but is very helpful when transporting an armful of items. A useful addition. Most important was the shapeability. I have read many reviews of other cushions which might look the part, but have so few or too light a filling that it is impossible to shape properly. Although the "beans" in this cushion are neither heavy nor over full, it is very shapeable by squeezing and pushing once your ipad is on it and allows you to position it to the perfect tilt. I actually then just drape the cover of my ipad over the back of the cushion. Overall, you may gather I'm very pleased with my purchase. If I had one complaint, the colour is boring, but then you cant have everything! There is always room for improvement!
