Is the Metricide28 supposed to come with an activator solution? My 1-gallon bottle arrived with no activator.

Please ignore Wesphalia's and azbidr's answers. These people are confused. This product is called MetriCide 28, which comes already pre-activated (no activator is required). A separate activator bottle is required (and included) with MetriCide 14. MetriCide 28 and MetriCide 14 are two different products. Apparently they didn't bother to pay attention to this simple distinction.

Has anyone used this as a co2 boster for a planted aquarium ?

Yes, I am currently (Mar 2016) using a bottle of this as a cheaper version of Seachem's Excel. It's a more concentrated form of glutaraldehyde, so it theoretically takes less in your tank. It seems to be working OK. The plants are alive, but certainly don't grow like they might with a real CO2 system. I have had no negative results from using this product for my 7 medium light planted tanks.

Can this be used as a cold sterile for dental offices?

Yes I would think so. We use it for our surgical tools etc. Good luck !

Can you use it in a fogger to sterilize a room?

I don't believe so. It is cold sterilization solution to use with tweezers, scissors etc.

Seller should be EXPLICIT about the typical use of this product. Like all of us at the beginning of the pandemic I was delirious with joy to get my hands on any of the Virucides on the infamous approved EPA list. But this solution is overkill for home or office use. Read the description carefully it will penetrate surgical surfaces and instruments and your skin. Unlike even the higher concentrated quaternary solutions can’t touch this baby for toxicity. It serves its intended purpose and no doubt I would have carefully used it to wipe down my home and office in the beginning of course you couldn’t get your hands on anything close to this good regular old bleach was going for $20 a gallon! I bought guats and ethanol from veterinary supply houses, but this is too much even for me. I’m putting it away until I can dispose of it. I would gladly give it to a hospital or nursing home if they would take it.
