It's a waxed based product so it's similar to rubbing on peanut butter. The product actually goes a long way but I would advise getting more than one tube because it's so small. **Q: is it permanent? does it work on etched glass?** A: It's wax of some type and when dry it doesn't come off easily. I suspect that any solvent based cleaner would remove it but I've never tried. After it sets awhile, water wont remove it. I would think that it would stick nicely to the etched parts of the pattern, but I don't think the smooth glass surface would hold up in the long term. **Q: Can I use this to paint on a previously painted interior wall? Will it come off easily? And would I need to apply a base coat or can I apply directly** A: Yes, you probably could. However, I think it's intended for small surface areas, like picture frames. It's quite thick--like a paste--and would need to be thinned for a large surface. You'd be better off buying a spray paint, I think. It's a great product, however. **Q: Has anyone used polyurethane over this product?
