I have purchased european games (Spain) of FIFA (Fifa 09 and Fifa 10) and they work fine in my ps3 here. Not sure about the ps4, it seems it should, but I would probably send an email to EA. Good luck!

Yes, both the PS4 and Xbox One are region free. So the same game will work anywhere.

I've never played soccer games and don't know the current players IRL. Will I still enjoy?

i'd say yes, if you play offline with ur friends, especially 2 vs 2. online on the other hand not so much. The servers are really bad, and sometimes you feel that the game is too unpredictable, the better player will not win online, it all depends on the AI and whether there is lag or not, and a lot of matches will have lag even if u have the best connection possible. my advice, either rent it for a couple of days first or buy it pre-owned.
