Why did you choose this product over others?: Ok so far so good. Installation of gateway was a breeze. App worked well on both IOS and android although the IOS version on ipad mini has an overlapping top menu Scanning of the taplinker s worked well and by the time Id packed away both were connected to the gateway. couple of watering programs in - both sides worked as expected Seemed pretty well built, my only concern is a little hole next to the toggle switch - hopefully wont be colonised :-)

This product is well designed & constructed. Linktap clearly has conducted VOC (Voice of Customer) during the development of this product as they seem to have thought of all common scenarios. It works very well, doesn't leak & it's so convenient to control & program directly from the phone app. I really like the rain delay feature that uses the weather forecast to determine whether to go ahead with a watering cycle after or before heavier rain fall. I thoroughly recommend the G1S. P.S. I bought the G1S as I didn't want the complication of the flow meter & a possible reduction in flow rate through it. I also didn't like the idea of the floppy cable plugging into the tap controller. Unnecessary week point for me, so went with the simple G1S.

Very easy to install and works perfectly. Well designed and manufactured and the App to control it is good.

this is a brilliant device - totally reliable - have used it for several months without any issues. I've had other cheaper tap switches but they usually quickly fail after a couple of weeks. Highly delighted with the app as it allows complete dynamic flexibility of watering schedules. Can't fault it!

Software set up, both of connecting the device to the Internet and installing the app on my tablet was a doddle. Then the shear ease of setting watering periods. An object lesson in good software writing. Its main function, of course is to irrigate my patio plants, again I can't fault it. Its really a boon to be able to suspend or alter the watering regime remotely. I suppose that I should qualify everything by stating that the controller has only been installed for a month. Even so, the product seems well made and I have confidence.

Works as advertised but for me I couldn't get twice the WiFi range described but it was OK 8m between the module and gateway.

Installed it and been using it for a couple of weeks. Easy to install and so far it hasn't missed a beat. I bought it has a replacement for a hozelock cloud controller. That after a few years started to jam and eat batteries. Only time will tell if this linktap will suffer with the same issue. I'm hoping not as it seems to have a solenoid controlling the value and not a geared motor. So fewer moving parts. The app isn't great, perfectly functional, but not a great design and overly complicated. It is more interested in you posting promotion and feedback for it than actually controlling the water flow. Too early to tell if the battery life is good.

The link tap works really well, it was easy to set up on the app and pair to the network, navigation of the app is smooth and timing settings are no problem to set. I bought this to link to a sprinkler to use as a cat deterrent and have it set for random times through the day but can also tap on the app and activate it easily at any time, customer service is also excellent I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

Sofar the system seems really great. Easy installation and speedy connection. It feels robust and precise. The valve is installed outside, at about 7 meters from the gateway, and connection is stable, despite an external wall and a window in between. Programming is easy and effective.

The main issue with this product is that it is not Wi-Fi. It is wireless. It needs a wired connection to your Internet Router for the wireless bridge. Once you have the bridge connected with a LAN cable (short one supplied) and powered, you then have to make sure the bridge and the valve unit connect over the wireless connection. The downloaded app helps with this. Once connected, it's very easy to manage all watering plans daily, weekly, monthly and many times a day if required. Many valve units can connect to one bridge (I now have two). Also, from the app, it is possible to manage many locations. If you are a landscaper you could manage many customers watering from the app, no visit required. Going to be in trouble with my Wife for the cost of the units but it makes it so easy to manage and monitor the batteries of the units.

The hub is located inside my home approximately 1 metre from my router and the timer is mounted on a garden hose bib which is located outside about 7 metres away from the hub. This system was soooo easy to set up. The instructions are straight forward and fairly intuitive. The app is very comprehensive with a ton of features. I didn’t need to read the manual to understand the timer programming. I simply played with a few features and tried setting up some timing programs and the whole process quickly became apparent. This is a well designed and engineered product that does exactly what it advertises it will do. I highly recommend this timer.
