I’ve used a few different GoPro head mounts before, mostly straps and helmet setups, but this was my first time trying a clip-on hat mount. I tested it with a Hero 13 during a weekend hike and a couple of short runs. The clip attached easily to a regular baseball cap and felt secure on the hat the whole time. There’s a soft pad inside the clip that adds grip and keeps it from digging into the hat, which helped with comfort. One thing I noticed: the mount could be a little longer so the camera sits farther back on the bill. That would help balance the weight better. As it is, the camera sits pretty far forward, and if you’re moving a lot, the hat can start to slide down on your face. I had to tighten my hat a bit to keep it in place, especially during the runs. Would probably find this highly annoying on long runs. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want a lightweight, hands-free way to film while hiking or wlaking. If you’ve been using bulkier head straps, this is worth trying. Just make sure your hat fits snugly, especially if you’re on the move.

My bicycle helmet has a kayaking visor added to it thats real sturdy. So, GOPRO 9 IS a bit heavy probably for a regular baseball cap, but thats not what I'm doing with the clip. Since my helmet is held on with chin strap, I have no problems and the device is very tough and sturdy. About to go on my first GOPRO bike recording and happy with the product.

Broke on me trying to get the screw loose. Was using it to record my shooting competitions. While it wasn’t broken it worked great. BUT it did break so 3 stars

yup. works. Will leave a mark on your forehead if mounted on a backwards hat. Still comfortable, no issues. I recommend!
