BEST WAFFLE MAKER IN MY OPINION
I love this waffle maker. I use it about 4 times per week, and the performance is what I like in a waffle maker. I have had others that I didn't care for. I don't like the deep waffle makers, nor do I like the one that stands upright, where you pour the batter into a hole. I made a few mistakes until I found this one. The thickness of the waffle is just right for me with this waffle maker. It's fun and easy to use this unit. I use this to make Keto waffles, and I make my own batter. It accepts my batter like a champ. I'm so stoked I found this shallow, round gem. How much batter you put in is a learning curve. Not enough, you have an incomplete waffle, too much, and you have overflowing batter. I have purchased several when the price was good just in case this one goes out on me. That is how much I like this. The heating slide is awesome. I always use mine on the highest setting, which is 5. It makes for a little crispier finished waffle. Plug it in, close the waffle maker, and the light will turn red. When the light turns green, open it, spray both plates, put your batter in, but not too much, or it will overflow. Close the unit, and the light will turn red. Wait for the light to turn green again and open the unit for your waffle. So easy to clean, I just wipe mine off with a cloth to get any of the crumbs off or the spray oil that I used. It stores easily in a drawer and is not clunky. It can be stored flat or standing up if you don't have much space.

BEST CLASSIC WAFFLE IRON SINCE THE FIFTIES.
IT TOOK ME 3 TIMES ORDERING A CLASSIC TYPE WAFFLE IRON. THIS ONE WORKS PERFECT WITH THE SAME RESULTS AS THE OLD ONE I HAD FROM THE 50'S. I GOT THE OLD ONE FROM A FRIEND AND NOTHING HAS COME CLOSE TO IT AS THIS CUISINART. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. THE SIZE IS SMALLER AND STORES UPRIGHT USING LESS SPACE, THE HEAT ADJUSTMENT IS VERY SIMILAR FOR THE CLASSIC STYLE. I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.

Needs a ding
This is a lovely waffle iron. It works as expected and makes delicious waffles. The only reason I give it 4/5 is there isn’t a sound indicator for when the light changes/waffle is cooked. The light is nice but I am generally wandering and doing other things and I did burn one waffle. A ding would be helpful. Otherwise these are exactly what I wanted: thin and slightly crispy waffles.

Love the New design!
Love the New Classic waffle Maker, clean/wipe up easier with a wet paper towel! Stand upright to store in limited spaces. I can make all types of homemade waffles (made from scratch recipes) with fresh or frozen fruit filling. Beats eating frozen Eggo waffles that taste like cardboard! Or I can either wrap chicken or veggies in the waffle by rolling up and eating like a burrito. Hubby used the left over waffle as a sandwich, he commented that it added a lot of flavor to the cheese and slices of deli meats.

Convenient and easy to use waffle maker
Bought as a Christmas present and since it is used daily, I would say it is well loved and works great. Not sure how healthy it is to eat waffles every day, but who am I to judge.. it is easy to use and you just pour in a little over a half cup or homemade batter (at least she does) and you have fresh waffles in around a minute a piece. You need to pay attention since it does cook so quickly. Easy to tell when it’s done since it goes from green when you first put it in, to red, and back to green when it’s done. You can even choose the level of “doneness” like a toaster does, in the front. It is very compact since it’s about the size of a waffle, so easy storage. Mostly easy to clean unless you spill some in the front. Not as easy to get into those parts to clean, but if you don’t overfill and spill out the side, you’re good. Err on the side of caution for your first one and pour right in the middle.

Poorly made with sloppy fitting parts and controls.
I rarely write reviews on products or services unless they are exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Unfortunately, this one falls into the latter category. Having sorted through product reviews for waffle makers (and discarded the typical biases, unreasonable expectations and BS), I settled on the Cuisinart Classic Waffle Maker to meet our needs as a simple, reasonably priced, occasional use kitchen device. I was severely disappointed with it and after unpacking it, I never even attempted to use it and returned it immediately. The upper plate/lid hinge was EXTREMELY loose (no exaggeration) and the lid flopped around in all driections. It could not be positively aligned with the lower plate to make a waffle without sliding sideways over ¼ inch in each direction. You should be able to pour in the batter, close the lid and done. Not so with this device! You would end up with some pretty strange looking waffles and probably significant leakage and uncooked batter at the edges. The sliding control knob was also excessively loose, with about ½ inch slop, so it could not be accurately set. I don’t even know if the internal mechanism could actually reach the ends of its intended travel and trying to set it to a doneness value was very inconsistent depending on which direction it was moved. One other issue with this control is that the device is advertised and stated in the manual, to have 5 settings. One would expect that to mean 5 positive click stops. That is not the case. In fact, it is continuously variable from one end to the other. Why is it not advertised as such? One might think that to be an advantage (if you could in fact set it accurately.) The manual claims there is a “locking feature” (but no further description) to stop it opening up when stored vertically. There was no such thing. It was certainly not automatic and trust me, I looked all over it from something to lock it with. Standing up on its handles (the opening edge) as instructed, merely resulted in it “doing the splits” and falling open flat. You can, as described in the manual, wind the cord around it for storage and plug the prongs in two small slots in the base and lid. However, they don’t go in very far and are very loose, so combined with the sloppy alignment, they fall right back out again, which makes that a waste of time. If that is also supposed to be the “locking feature”, it’s pathetic and in my opinion basically fraudulent advertising, which could possibly lead to burn injuries and fire risk. One other minor issue is that the manual describes the power cord as detachable – it tells you to plug it into the device first, before plugging into a power outlet. That is not true. The cord is permanently attached. While this may be a minor inconvenience to most of us, it indicates to me that their design, manufacturing and documentation teams are not on the same page and/or are not bothering updating the manual with product changes. However, one issue I would defend them against is a complaint in a review by a supposedly “expert” kitchen appliance review website, who are apparently just a group of amateur “influencers” masquerading as experts and in my opinion making money under false pretenses. Apart from their unscientifically inconsistent methods and conclusions, they state (for all the waffle makers they tested), that the power cords are too short, requiring the use of extensions cords. That is not true (specifically in the case of this device). If they are going to review kitchen appliances, they should at least do their reach first. In fact, there is a maximum legal length for power cords on counter top devices that could cause burns or other injuries and damage if they are accidentally knocked off the counter while still plugged in. AND the use of extension cords to defeat this safety feature is strongly discouraged. To their credit, the Cuisinart manual even states not to do so – though it might help if they explain why.
