The Fifine T683 is a darn good little microphone!
Let me start by saying, the Fifine T683 is a darn good little microphone! Here's a YouTube beginners tip: If you're looking to level up your broadcasts, a good microphone is one of the best bangs you can get for just a few bucks! So what's included in the box? More than you you'd think for this price point: * Scissor Arm for mounting to the desk - INCLUDED * Pop filter for reducing or eliminating popping sounds - INCLUDED * Shock mount to prevent vibrations from affecting the quality of your sound - INCLUDED * USB cable with both Type A and Type C ends to future proof the mic - INCLUDED I don't want to sound like I'm overselling this microphone, but all of this for $69.99!! (as of May 31, 2021) Then of course, there is the microphone. The Fifine T683 USB microphone itself is only 5 inches tall. A little taller with the pop filter installed. It's a condenser microphone that performs very well in a studio environment. It has a physical gain control knob along with a mute button with easy access on the front of the mic, and an 3.5mm headphone jack in the back. So what are you missing with a mic at this price? You don't get software that allows you to manipulate the quality of the sound. This is not necessarily a bad thing. I rarely ever mess with the settings on my Yeti microphone and in fact, have had some issues with the software failing to recognize the mic without unplugging it and plugging it back in. The simplicity of plug and play with a quality sound out of the box is refreshing. You don't get multiple patterns. The T683 only comes with the cardioid function meaning it works best when its a few inches away, directly in front of your mouth. The further away from the center of the mic you get, the sound levels will drop. That's great for reducing sound interference coming from the sides or behind the microphone, but if you are trying to use it with 2 or more people, the audio won't be as clear and crisp for those off to the sides. As with all products, do your homework. I really like this microphone, especially with all the accessories that come with it and at an excellent price point for an entry to intermediate level microphone.

Quick setup, high quality
I have it set 12 inches from my face, level with my nose and off to the side so it doesn't block my screen. Gain is mid-way. Running through a usb 3.1 port. The quality is surprisingly high. Good clear audio. With the pass-through jack on the back you hear the ambient noise since there is no sound suppression going through of course, but after testing in discord is very good. Discord's Krisp audio setting over the standard. Doesn't pickup my fan or a/c if I'm not talking, and even when I do my friend said there was no issue with it. Still clear audio. I know that speaks more for discord's noise filter itself I suppose, but still wanted to mention how it works with discord. For a 60$ package deal, this was such a steal. Almost got a quadcast just to ensure I didn't have to deal with cheap equipment, but glad this worked out. This is really good stuff. Whether this holds up over time is another matter. It's still possible to get lemons with any product, but I have hopes for this one. Since I don't have to move it around or anything regardless of whether I'm using it, it should last a good long while. Too lazy to post a picture, but the mic itself is hanging upside down and using the popfilter. No issues tighting it well enough to hold everything together. Fiddling with the arm took a bit and its not the best quality of course, but I'm not paying top-tier price either. For the price and the bundle itself, it works well. No complaints. If you want smooth movement and plan to move it around a lot then look for a different arm, but again the mic itself is really good. The review videos thankfully weren't faked as far as I can tell.

perfect for my setup
A few days after using this product, the microphone suddenly stopped working. I reached out to customer service and they were quick to send me a replacement and since then I’ve used this non-stop. It’s essential to my setup and I don’t regret the purchase. I’ve had it for about a year now. Since then, the stand itself is showing signs of wear and I have to adjust it often, but it happens with anything getting old. It was easy to put on my desk and connect to my PC with just a USB, it conveniently adjusts to whatever position I need and I do move it frequently. The audio itself is very crisp, clear and loud. It is a microphone that looks nice and clean, sounds great and I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Great microphone for YouTube/Streaming for under $70!
I am very impressed with this microphone for the price. The sound quality you get out of this microphone is impressive as it's a condenser mic. Picks up your voice without picking up any of the background noise. I see this microphone being very popular for YouTubers, streamers, gamers, zoom, etc for people who need higher sound quality for their videos. But I don't see this microphone being used for singing or recording acoustic instruments...not to say you couldn't - If you know what you're doing in post processing using Audacity or such, you could get some great recordings in a pinch for the money, that's hard to beat. In terms of features, it has a easy to access gain knob and its quite sensitive too, be careful. It also has a mute button that's easy to press and that is very handy when you need to mute the mic quickly during a live stream or a zoom call. On the backside of the microphone there is a headphone jack which doubles as a audio passthrough from your computer so is incredibly handy. I've even used it as an audio out directly into my camera for video and it sounded FANTASTIC! Thoroughly impressed! Build quality of the T683 is excellent, feels rugged. It's made out of metal and has some significant amount of weight. It feel's more expensive that it actually is. Comes with a great quality USB cable that is nearly 9 feet long. Although, I kind of wish it had separate USB C and USB A cables but it works. It also comes with a boom arm and is one thing that I'm deducting a star for. It's quite cheaply made, basically they took an architect style lamp apart and retrofitted it for this microphone. While it does work, it has exposed springs and it's very prone to rattle from the desk which can be picked up via the microphone. However, for the price...it's to be expensive. They could've came up with a better design and added $10 to the cost, which I would've been gladly to pay. I also would've liked to seen some sort of cable management thing for the boom arm, even if it was just some velcro wire wraps. It goes a long way to keeping everything tidy. Overall, I'm quite impressed with this microphone and for $70, it's a great deal for a decent quality sounding microphone that sounds really close to the Blue Yeti. I recommend it! Maybe get yourself a better stand though.

T669 or T683? Read this
Are you confused about the choice of so many similar microphones? So am I. I hesitated between the Fifine T669-PRO1 and T683, so I got both to test them. I now need to decide which one I will return. It's a tough call. Here's the comparison of the two. Note that I got the T669-PRO1 and not the regular T669, which is yet another variant. (The T669-PRO1 has a mute button and a smaller pop filter. The regular T669 has a shock mount, a larger pop filter, but no mute button). Okay, first, both the T669-PRO1 and T683 are good microphones. They both sound good and you can't go wrong with either of them. What they have in common: +/- The boom stand is identical on both models. Though a basic boom It's more than adequate. - The position of the volume knob is very difficult to see on both models. This is fairly annoying. A tiny dent, unpainted, marks the position of the volume. It's virtually impossible to see at night and even difficult to see during daytime. I literally had to point a flashlight at it to see it clearly. Now the main differences between the two models: T669-PRO1 ++Small, compact size +/-Touch mute button (easier to toggle but could be hit by accident) +/-USB-C to USB-A cable -The sound is possibly a tad crispier than the T683. But its volume is considerably weaker. I had to set the knob to maximum and the Windows input volume to 90% to match the volume of the T683 with its volume knob at about 50% and Windows input volume at 60%. -No headphone jack T683 ++Considerably louder volume than the T669; slightly warmer sound +Integrated headphone jack behind the microphone +Includes shock mount +/-Physical mute button (requires slight force to toggle) +/-USB-B to USB-A/C cable -The microphone is considerably larger and heavier than the the T669: with the larger pop filter, it is about about double the width of the T669. (see pic, with T683 on the right and T699 in the middle) At this point, I'm not sure which one I will keep. I do prefer the compactness of the T669-PRO1, but I'm slightly concerned about its weaker recording volume. In the end I think the T683 probably has the edge in terms of overall quality.

Great Starter USB Microphone!
I purchased this microphone while searching for a starter USB mic, and I am pretty satisfied with my purchase. The sound quality is fantastic for the price, delivering clear, crisp audio without any distortion. It's super easy to set up, just plug and play, which made it perfect for my needs. The build is solid and feels professional, and the design is sleek and modern. Overall, it’s an excellent mic for anyone just starting out or looking for an affordable, reliable option. Highly recommend!

It's much better than I expected for the price, including mount and pop filter...
I used to sing at small and large venues, from Disneyland south of LA California, to Harah's in Reno Nevada, to Warner Pacific in Portland Oregon, and many points in between. I recently had inspiration and occasion to start practicing again, so I bought a Shure SM58 which is what I'd used in the past, but I also wanted to try a condenser mic and see how a cappella vocals would come out. When I can sing a cappella well enough to draw people in like I used to be able to do when I was practicing everyday then I'll know I'm ready to start performing live again with a band. I'm pleasantly surprised at the sound quality that can be attained with this mic. It's more sensitive than my dynamic, but the sound it produces seems to respond well to a touch of the right FX/mixing. I'm not a recording engineer, and my recordings leave much to be desired, I'm a singer/musician and don't have the time to master the tech side, I'll use a professional studio when I'm ready record for commercial release. The first several sound clips are a cappella vocals with the Fifine condenser mic, and the last two are with the Shure dynamic mic which cost about twice as much. I'm still a little rusty with control of my diaphragm to control my breathing, but having seriously ramped back up my practice I'm already singing much better than in the attached video. I'm on a tight budget and couldn't afford a more expensive condenser mic at this time, and I think I made a good choice for my needs at the moment. I've started playing the guitar again, and I'm very interested to hear how my instruments sound through the Fifine. I hope the video helps to hear what the Fifine sounds like. P.s. How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice...

I was low on budget but got exactly what I needed
Noise cancellation is amazing and voice is crisp. Good for beginners but not the best. Won't complain as it only costs 5000 and is best mic in this range.
