TL;DR Having someone else apply tanner to your back is best, but if you don’t have that luxury, this is the literal next best thing. ———————————————————— Last time I was into self-tanners a few years ago, I was single with no one to apply tanner to my back so I just tanned the places I could reach. I was uneven, but the parts of me the public could see was tan, so I was fine with that. Fast forward to now, I’m married but husband is away on military duty, so I still don’t have anyone to apply tanner to my back. But I found this contraption and this has been amazing! I can’t believe I never had one before! What I Love: 1) Ease of use - the motion you use is just like using a towel to dry off your back after a shower. 2) It’s very soft, but doesn’t absorb product like I thought it would. Not nearly as much as a makeup sponge would. 3) With just two uses, I feel like I’ve mastered the application process. I am AMAZED by the even tan on my back. This is the first time ever I have had an even self-tanner tan on my whole body. ——————————————————————- My recommendation for the first time: Lay it flat and squeeze about a 6 inch horizontal line of product in the middle. Use your finger to flatten it out so the product takes up about the middle third. Start with horizontal motions to apply product all over the back, and then add diagonal and as vertical as you can get to rub it in everywhere. My one caution is to pay attention to the bum. Make sure you get in between.

As someone who doesn't tan well other than turning red like a lobster and then back to my pale self, I live in self tanner. I would think I looked amazing and golden whenever I self tanned, until I saw the ghost on my back where I couldn't reach. Then comes this baby. 2 words: GAME CHANGER. It's so quick and easy to use and got every inch of those hard to reach places that you normally can't get! I now have a natural glow ALL OVER my body!

Gets the job done, but is still a little hard to avoid patchiness in middle of back.
