The baby likes to crawl and bang on them. 3 yr old, 5 yr old, and 7 yr old like to set up obstacle courses and play various games with them. They are sturdy enough that teenager and parents can also step on them. They work better with a group of children - they think of more new games. They will stand on them and try to play catch without falling off. Use them as bases playing tag.... **Q: Where is this made?** A: I bought these several years ago and sent them to my grandchildren in Germany . I don’t know where the were made but the kids and the neighborhood kids have had a lot of fun with them. They are very sturdy. **Q: What type of plastic is this made from?** A: It's a hard durable plastic. I don't know what kind. **Q: Would these hold up for continuous outdoor use? Could I leave them out in the yard through weather?** A: They are extremely heavy duty. But they are made of plastic. And the bottoms are rubber. It would degrade over time due to extreme temperatures and/or sun exposure as a little tykes play gym would.
