Great set of impact sockets

This set is Awesome! Been able to work on my car and projects around the house with just this set. Yes, its a little heavy but also look at what your getting. Comes with everything you need. Also comes with spark plugs sockets!

These are sturdy sockets and offer a food range of sizes. They have sizing engraved and also etched, but the engraving is not filled or painted so its black on black making it very hard to read. The laser etching is nicely visible but i do expect it will most likely rub off when the sockets are used a few times. I personally used some white nail polish to fill in the engravings, and used a paper tower with a bit of Acetone to wipe away the excess on the surface. They cleaned up pretty good. I think if this was painted in during manufacturing it would improve the quality and usability experience, and I would have been willing to pay a few more bucks for that to be included. The case feels mostly solid and the sockets 'snap in' slightly so they are held in the recess pretty well. If its turned upside down they might actually hold in the case. The extensions and adapters are just laying in there so they will definitely fall out. The downsides to the case are the placements do not have size markings, so if you are used to pulling the 9th socket from the keft for example and you have accidentally swapped the 15 and 14 mm placement, you may not realize it until actually putting the socket on a nut or bolt since the recess sizes are close to the same. I have other socket sets whereof the larger socket is attempted to place in the smaller spot it won't fit. Here it seems it will fit and the case will likely close but may have a small hump to it if larger sockets are in a slot thats a size smaller. Also, if you use the SAE sizes and are not sure if 5/16 comes before or after 3/8 or 1/4 you won't know at a glance which sizes are missing and may require some effort to find. Also the clasp that hold the case shut, they are just plastic pieces that have to be pulled away from the case, meaning they are 'bent' outward to open it. When closing the case you will need to push them in and hope it was enough to snap closed. On the upside once they are snapped closed though they are solid. I haven't dropped the case yet so can't say how it will hold up when dropped but I think it will do pretty well. The clasps are also pretty thick but i do expect these clasps to break with some moderate use as plastic can only flex so many times before it fails, although this could last for a couple of years or more worth of daily use. I might try coming up with another latching mechanism in time...perhaps drilling some holes and using short bolts and screw heads with some steel weld im the holes that will secure a latch to increase longevity of the case. Even with these downsides, it's a solid set and I'd buy it again.

Sockets have stood the test of time and proven durable. They work great on a ratchet or impact wrench as they are very strong with a great impact rating. The variety from 10mm up is great and its nearly impossible to find a no skip socket set these days. The readability has really held up through some tough jobs, I have swapped axles, suspension, control arms, exhaust manifolds, etc. And they never slip, the material is very strong and hasn't deformed after being put through the ringer. Definitely recommend!
