The woodenware seems quite nicely made and is cedar, which you'd pay a premium for elsewhere. Everything fit together well. I disagree with other reviews saying that the wax coating on the foundation was light. The wax on the Beecastle foundation was actually heavier than the wax on some Premier foundation I got -- I did go ahead and roll some extra on but I'm not sure it was strictly necessary. I guess the only thing I would like as an upgrade to this kit would be screened bottom boards for varroa IPM/monitoring, but most other kits also come with solid bottom boards.
