After i replaced the whole filter cassette on my winix wac9500 air cleaner, the filter light is still red. am i doing something wrong?

Before you place the filter back in place you have to RESET the air purifier. As everything is still outside and the inside is exposed, look on the top right side for the RESET button. Press and then it all starts normal. Place the front cover and you should be all set. Good luck.

Can someone clarify why this product is better than the older version (Winix 119110 Ultimate Replacement Filter)? I have the Winix WAC9500. Thanks!

I have the older Winix WAC9000 model which has been going strong for 5 years 24/7. I ordered the 119110 but received the newer replacement. The only difference I see is the size of the tab on each side of frame (for removal I guess) and the color, black instead of gray. It fits perfect. Why people say they have trouble with it fitting baffles me.

Does this fit the Winix 5300 Model?

Not any more. My previous 8 orders all fit my Winix 5300 but not this one. It's the same size but the plastic frame has tabs in a different place. I had to remove the grid, paper filter, and carbon filter from this and put it into my old plastic frame.
