I was not sure I needed another kitchen gadget, but I was intrigued by this little sharpener when I saw it being used in a cooking video. I really love it and use it everytime I grab a knife. I have a few classic sharpening steels and ceramic sharpeners, but I get lazy about grabbing them out of the knife block to use, clean and put away. With this little guy it's right out on the counter and hands free. It's small enough to tuck away in a draw if you want to clear the counter, yet unobtrusive if you want to leave it on the counter permanently. It does a great job refreshing the edge of a well sharpened knife, however you would need to have the knife in a reasonably sharpened state to begin with for this to work. I don't think it's intended to bring a dull knife back to life.

Works great and reasonable cost. Have tried many knife sharpeners and so far this is the best one.

I have a kitchen cutlery set that is about 44 years old and have not been getting good results sharpening the knives with the steel that came with the set. Have tried another sharpener but with disappointing results. I decided to take a chance on the AnySharp-PRO and I am glad that I did. This device is easy to use, stays put on the counter and gives a great result. Well worth the money and I have nice sharp knives now!

I’ve found this product to work fairly well for its intended purpose of sharpening a knife, however, the section cup that’s supposed to hold it in place while you move the knife back and forth doesn’t hold very well. That’s my only complaint. It’sa safety issue to hold it in place with one hand while moving the knife back and forth with the other.

Such a cute and clever product! It works great and it takes up no room at all. I sharpened all my knives very quickly AND effectively.

Als leidenschaftlicher Hobbykoch ist mir die Schärfe meiner Messer von großer Bedeutung. Daher war ich auf der Suche nach einem effektiven und einfach zu handhabenden Messerschärfer. Dabei bin ich auf den Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf gestoßen und möchte nun meine Erfahrungen teilen. Der erste Eindruck des Messerschärfers war sehr positiv. Das kompakte Design und die hochwertige Verarbeitung haben mich sofort überzeugt. Der Saugnapf an der Unterseite ermöglicht eine sichere Befestigung auf verschiedenen Oberflächen, was besonders praktisch ist, da man so beide Hände frei hat. Die Handhabung des Messerschärfers ist denkbar einfach. Man platziert das stumpfe Messer in den Schleifschlitz und zieht es mehrmals durch. Dabei spürt man förmlich, wie die Klingen wieder schärfer werden. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass der Schleifwinkel bereits vorgegeben ist, sodass auch Anfänger problemlos ihre Messer schärfen können. Ein weiteres Highlight des Messerschärfers ist die integrierte Sicherheitsvorrichtung. Durch einen kleinen Hebel wird verhindert, dass das Messer zu tief in den Schleifschlitz rutscht und somit Beschädigungen vermieden werden. Die Ergebnisse des Messerschärfers haben mich vollends überzeugt. Meine stumpfen Küchenmesser wurden innerhalb kürzester Zeit wieder rasiermesserscharf. Sowohl Gemüse als auch Fleisch lassen sich nun mühelos schneiden, ohne dass ich viel Kraft aufwenden muss. Auch die Haltbarkeit der Schärfe ist beachtlich, sodass ich nicht ständig nachschärfen muss. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist jedoch die Lautstärke des Messerschärfers. Beim Schleifvorgang entsteht ein relativ lautes Geräusch, was auf Dauer etwas störend sein kann. Hier wäre eine Geräuschdämmung wünschenswert. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf äußerst zufrieden. Er erfüllt seine Aufgabe zuverlässig und liefert scharfe Ergebnisse. Die einfache Handhabung und der sichere Halt durch den Saugnapf machen ihn zu einem praktischen Helfer in der Küche. Lediglich das laute Geräusch beim Schleifen könnte verbessert werden. Dennoch kann ich den Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf jedem empfehlen, der seine Messer schnell und effektiv schärfen möchte.
