Dorman 76985 Sliding Window Latch Compatible with Select Chevrolet / GMC Models

Works great, although a bit expensive for something that’s clearly not meant to endure the years. It probably costs them 10 cents to make this. Maybe someone should 3D print these with a sturdier material that will allow the latch to continuously bend assiduously.

It is an annoying little bit of plastic that keeps people from getting into your truck. Takes less than 5 minutes to instal but, can be busted off easily if you are not paying attention. It's a shame no one has made a replacement of better quality after all these years.

installed seemed fine , 10 months later i tried to open , was hard to unlatch & broke. i use to work for GM & Dorman had good products. now i see that has changed over time. no better then the cheap china parts. i purchaced a Dorman rear door strap for a 1999 tahoe that was junk

Wish it came with the screws

Different mounting holes than factory but a drill bit and a tape measure put me back in business. No screws included...otherwise, a 5 star.

This item was perfect and installed very easily

It’s cheap and built rightfully so. Feel like if I look at it wrong it’ll break. Nonetheless it does work.

I purchased this item to replace my sliding rear window latch on a Ford Ranger cap. The old latch had what appeared to be two screw holes. I attempted to remove them using Allen keys and found that from the factory they appeared to be either false head rivets or someone had used an industrial strength thread Locking. I ended up drilling them out but it was a pain. This latch fit perfectly.
