But this one is stainless steel with those large colorful buttons (I got the plum color) and with the strong magnet I can slap it on my refrigerator which is black stainless steel, where it's handy and actually a nice decoration for the fridge door. Simple and easy to use with large bright numbers you could read across a room. And the beeper is loud but not obnoxious and can be easily heard from my kitchen to upstairs office. Setting the desired time is easy and quick and the device is silent when you are setting the time which I like - I hated the beeping sounds in previous models every time I was setting it up. It also has an auto shutoff after 5 min of non-use. I prefer both the auto and a manual shutoff, but I quickly got used to not having the manual shutoff.
