Review: Smart design, outperforms expectations, brighter than youโd think - This thing is so much cooler than its price or materials might indicate. The design is brilliantly simple, which I'd say makes up for any shortcomings. Aesthetics: If you're looking for a minimalist lamp that's also quite bright, you've found it. The fade on, fade off function makes it a pleasure to operate. Unfortunately, the base has a logo and ring that interrupt an otherwise very clean design. For some reason, the joint itself is white plastic instead of black. I have it set up in a way that hides these inconsistencies, so they don't really bother me. Quality: Other than the glass base, the build is a bit junky. The plastic is soft, semi-transarent, and somewhat misshapen. With the light on, you can see some of the internal structure. Don't buy this particular model if you want a perfectly right angle: the top portion has a small bend to it and pulls the base a bit out of square. I shimmed the base to correct the vertical angle and have the top portion askew, so again, not issues for me. Wiring: The wiring and assembly are sheer genius. The glass base (6" diameter) and vertical segment (14.5") screw together with a solid fit. The wall outlet has a 5 foot long wire that connects to a 4" wire that pops out about 1" up the the base. The top section (16") attaches to a connector that's dead center on the joint, thus serving as a means of rotating the light as well. The on/off switch is a button at the tip of the light arm. Light: This guy is way brighter than I expected. Maybe 3000k warmth and 600 lumens? Either way, I had it behind the TV for a while, pointed up, and it cast an impressive beam of light 6 feet up to the ceiling. That was more intense than I needed, so I put some blue masking tape over it and it still blasted out a stronger light than the 5V 120 LED strip I'm using now. In the end, I decided to keep the masking tape and light a painting, which works great. Summary: Awesome, inexpensive light that's versatile and portable. Loses a star for cheap plastic and lack of a dimmer. Review: Sleek LED lamp for your desk - Extremely happy with this lamp. It's very sleek and take up little space on the desk. It was very easy to put together and it quite stable on the desk even though it's very light. I really like the fact that you can rotate the top segment to direct the light where you need (and away from your eyes). The top segment can be adjusted to about 90 degrees - it doesn't completely fold over, but it's sleek enough that doesn't matter for me. It's a minimalist design for sure, with just the one button - and, unlike what the two other reviewers said, you actually can adjust brightness by holding down that button. Actually, that the only one (not even sure if it is a) con I have - if you do adjust the brightness, when you turn the lamp off and then back on, it comes back up at full brightness, instead of what you had adjusted it to. One of the answers above says it's 960 lumens, the box says it's 480 lumens, which is more believable to me. It's bright enough for normal desk use though.

No Nonsense LED Lamp!
This is a pretty good lamp for the money! While it may not have all of the bells and whistles of some of the more expensive models it works well for its price point. There is no setting to adjust the brightness. There also is no setting for changing the color temperature of the lamp. There is no shutdown timer either. But, that said the simplicity of this lamp is really nice. You simply press the button on the end of the light bar and it turns on, you press it again and it turns off. It's very simple and is not complicated at all which is a bonus. The light is bright enough for a desk, but don't expect it to light the entire room. It will however light your desk quite well. Really the only possible negative I see is that the ball joint for the swivel joint is plastic, I don't know if that will get loose with time. But, for now it works great and holds the light properly in it's intended position so that probably won't be an issue. While I was given a discount on this item in exchange for an honest review that did not influence my review in any way. If I found problems with it I would let you know which I did not. If it fails sooner than it should I will come back and edit this review. But, if you don't see an 'edit' section to this review then I'm still using it and am still happy with it. If you have questions let me know!

This LED Table Light is perfect for the nightstand or desk
This LED Table Light is perfect for the nightstand or desk. I was hoping it would be a little more flexible, but the fact that it bends at all is pretty cool. It works great and it's great to read in bed and not have to hunker over the night stand. I was prepared to spend way more than this, so for the money, I am very pleased. It doesn't have all the features of some of the more expensive models, but hey, it works great. I was hoping it would have a brightness adjustment, but it doesn't - that'd be the only "con" I would say. You simply press the button on the end of the light bar and it turns on, you press it again and it turns off. It can't get any easier than that. I love that it isn't complicated.
