Not all brake pedals are designed for possible hand control accommodations. I have e a 2020 Nissan Altima and I had to secure brake brakes on the left side of pedal making it difficult for qn able bodies driver to use with their foot. Because the rod from brake kinda crosses over the area of the entire brake. If you were able to mount on the RIGHT side of pedal, then there would be enough pedal exposed to use with a foot. The 2 being connected at brake and accelerator is what provides the ability to press the blue accelerator rod effortlessly to drive. Without the brake (which has the handle attached) you would have just the accelerator rod with the round blue flat piece. Plus they are attached together. I guess you could separate the rods, and attach the rod with the handle to the accelerator, and have just the one. I started using them just one week after surgery, which allowed me to earn an income while still on crutches.The devise works really well and I was surprised with how easy it was to learn to use. I was worried because I’m a bit dyslexic, but it only took maybe 5-10 minutes of practice until I felt comfortable taking an Uber rider. I do recommend to practice slamming the brake because your brain will send your foot to the brake pedal before your hand for the first one or two times. I became especially vigilant while using these, to avoid the need to slam on the brakes. Lower speed, longer following distance, scan sidewalks and roadways, etc.It’s a breeze to install. I used the sticks with my left hand while steering with the right.
