Does this come with software ?

It does not. it comes with links to enter in your computer that don't work and then you end up spending $150 trying out software and you end up hating all of them. The driver software is free tho. Yea!

Can I use this to flash a custom tune to my ecm 2014 silverado 5.3?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. You need a more expensive AVT based interface to flash an ECU. This unit is designed to work with scan tools to log data and clear trouble codes.

Can this work on a linux OS?

Depends on the diagnostic software. This is just the USB diagnostic adapter. I suggest you check the BBfly website.

will this work with the TuneEcu software?

It should. I used it on my 2012 Triumph Tiger 800 XC with the TigerTool diagnostics software.

I am using this scanner with TigerTool, software for Windows PC, to allow Triumph motorcycle user to access the ECU. I think it is important to know Windows 11 Home comes with the drivers to enable communication with the PC. In other words don't follow the instructions to install drivers frombbflyobd.com. The web page doesn't work well anyway and often responds with 504 gateway timeouts. I was able to read the ECU on my motorcycle without additional drivers. The product and software I used works great without driver installation.

Didn't require any drivers to work with windows 11, immediately identified itself as COM3 upon being pluged in. Used with TigerTool to reset my service interval on my 2015 Triumph Tiger Explorer.
