I had to quit eating them when I read ingredients on actual box. Ingredient info on amazon site does not say the Wine Gums contain Beef collagen. I do not eat meat so I had queasy stomach, and read ingredient list on wine gum box. Who uses beef collagen in this day and age. All the personal stuff inside, I think the ones I ate were good. I like the consistancy. They are a little firmer than gummy bears. I would never expect these to be juicy as some reviewers mentioned. The flavor is not strong, but its good. As far as the price, they are imported...i would not expect them to be cheap. The amount of product in box is fair. Plenty. All and all, the beef collagen issue aside. They were good. They need to make more clear about the beef issue. I am glad they did state on box there is no alcohol, wine in these.

Excellent flavor and proper gummy texture!!

The reason for the 1 star is due to them being hard to chew and digest when they arrived. During my visit to Savannah the other week, I purchased the same ones from a well-known grocery store and they were delicious. Soft to chew and digest.

I gave these to a British friend who’s been in the United States for many years. It was some thing that she missed from being home. She absolutely loved them and said they reminded her of her childhood. I would definitely buy them again.

First off, I very much like wine gums. I spent a lot of my youth in England, and the university I attended had an excellent candy shop within walking distance. One of my favorite British candies aside from fresh toffee crisps (the freshness has everything to do with how good it is) was the non chocolate treat called Wine Gums. To my taste buds, the only company that brings to mind the special various and unique flavors of Wine Gums are the Maynards brand. This version here, does have flavor, I won't dispute that, but they are more nondescript and they certainly don't taste like Maynards. I can eat them, but they don't really do it for me. If you are new to Wine Gums and you don't expect Maynards dazzling flavors, especially their unique black current flavor, then go ahead and order these. But if you are a die hard Maynard's Wine Gum fan, these just won't do it for you. Keep looking! `
