I decided to purchase these ports for a power box that I am building and wanted something heavy duty. I saw that these had good metal barrels and figured I'd give them a shot. I was unable to upload pictures but the testing that I did did not disappoint. These will comfortably pull 9.5-10 amps all day long without issue. After 30 minutes on a load Tester the barrel itself was barely warm to the touch and cooled in under 30 seconds to room temperature when power was turned off. Both make and female ends fit snuggly and work great to power my 8-port Netgear switch inside an outdoor enclosure for a light show. The wiring feels quality and it bends easily allowing these jacks to be used in tight spaces. I used a 13/32" drill bit and the hole was tight enough to screw the jack directly into my plastic case.

These work well. They are cheap, but you are getting a product with non-copper wires, so it is understandable. They are great for projects, and nicely fit the standard barrel size.

These are solidly built, would recommend. If you're designing a 3D printer enclosure for this, 12mm seems to be the sweet spot for your hole diameter. I'd say the only con is that you need a lot of clearance for the female receiver since the leads are heat shrinked and stiff, but you could always cut the leads off and solder on your own.

Easy to install. Nice fit. Are sized as promised. I do wish a split-ring locking washer was provided (like many similar devices), however, not a deal breaker.

I bought these because of the metal housing and lower profile than the plastic bodied ones. One application I had was to convert an older pedal that only runs on 9-volt battery to connect via dc power supply. I didn't consider that most modern guitar effect pedals utilize a "center negative" connection. I figured it would be a simple process to just reverse the leads upon soldering. This works fine BUT if your pedal has a metal housing, doing this will result in the "positive" side shorting out when mounted in the case. It took a minute for me to realize what was happening because I tested my connections before installing this metal dc power socket into the pedal's case. Once I did that, I had no power. I've wired tons of guitars and related items but didn't even think about this issue. My lesson....never start doing wiring until I've had my morning coffee!

I needed a new power input on my Casio keyboard. I bought this set of six power jacks for $10.90. They worked great. The Jacks use what seems to be high-grade steel with precision threading that was easy to work with. When mounted it was very sturdy. Transmits power.
