This volume is a turning point. The stunning, intricate magic and world-building you love are still there, but the plot takes a much darker, more serious turn. Secrets start to unravel, the stakes get dangerously high, and the line between "forbidden" and "necessary" magic begins to blur for our young heroes. The art, as always, is breathtaking—every spell is a work of architectural wonder. But here, the beauty contrasts powerfully with the growing tension and moral complexity. It's less of a cozy learning adventure and more of a gripping, suspenseful drama. If you're invested in Coco and her friends, this volume will have you utterly hooked and anxious for the next one. The series is evolving in the best way.

My 14 year old son loves this series and keeps asking for more. Highly recommended and makes a great gift and collection!
