It works!! *by A***R on January 22, 2013* My married daughter wanted the prong affixing Bedazzler for Xmas. However, after reading many reviews, I decided to go with the hot iron product and not to use prongs. I read where the prongs can get caught on things and felt that little bit of advice made alot of sense, I chose this particular hot iron tool because the wand tip is interchangeable and can pick up all the hot fix rhinestone sizes. There were many other positive remarks for the Creative Crystal BeJeweler product too.We started with the 4mm size and recommend that as a good size to start with. The stones are reasonably priced with an extensive choice of colors from the ThreadArt Hot Fix Rhinestone company. All the products are right here on Amazon. My daughter who seems to have problems with these kinds of projects had no problems affixing the stones and using the hot wand. She has already done quite a few projects. The items she decorated for her ten year old daughter and herself, really look fantastic. I am glad I read the reviews on Amazon and got my daughter the best product for the job. She knew I would. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So easy to use!! *by K*** on December 11, 2012* I have been using 2mm rhinestones, which are the tiniest, this tool picks them up with easy with one gentle touch, then because they are so tiny just placing them onto your outfit and 1-2 seconds it sticks beautifully. The handle is comfortable to hold and within minutes I had produced a wonderfully bedazzled outfit. Would highly recommend this to a beginner, not hard to use.With all the attachments that come with it I'm sure any size rhinestone would be just as easy, but I can only vouch for the 2mm and worked great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit of trial and error, but worked great in the end. *by B***L on February 29, 2016* This product heated up quickly, and definitely applied the stones. I did a few test runs with the different tips and found that picking them up with the tool and setting them was not very easy. I matched the tip to the size of the stone, it picked up the stone well, but setting it against the fabric I noticed that the edges of the tip also touched the fabric. Depending on the fiber content this could pose a problem. I made sure to hold the gem (swarovski hot fix stones) in the tool for about 25 seconds to let the glue melt. Then I tried to quickly press it into the fabric. The first one worked well. Each stone after that was a nightmare and stuck in the tip. I could use a pin as instructed to dislodge the stone, but that resulted in either either the stone moving from where I wanted it to be while I fiddled with the pin/tool, or the tip being against the fabric for too long (poly-satin) slightly scorching it.That being said, I managed a workaround. Since I could lay my garment fairly flat I could pre-position the stones. At first I tried the flat top tip - and that worked okay, but it took longer to heat up the stone. I ended up using a tip that was one size too small for the stone. That way it sat around the stone heating it quickly and evenly, but never touched the fabric. This gave me the chance to adjust the stone if the tool moved it when I first pressed it to the stone, and it took about 25 seconds to heat the glue.
