New filter right out of a box of 4 and it doesn’t work! ppm 326! my tap water is 302...? yes the o ring is there and i screwed it in properly. ?..

Have not seen this with any of the filters - on my third one out of the 4 pack. I have found they last a long time before needing to be changed. Maybe try another filter and see what happens. Thoroughly clean everything first.

I just received my filters on august 4. by august 6 the tester reads 16. is this defective filter? there is only one person in household.

The filter normally works between 3-4 months for myself, 2 months when my son is home from college. A failure so quickly can be caused by a number of things; the filter may not be seated in the holder correctly, the filter may not be tightened or the fulfillment company damaged the product before shipping but shipped it anyway. Yes the last one did happen.

Does it contain coconut shells?

I didn't see any coconuts. I have no idea what you are driving at. Coconut shells? Am I missing something?

Whats the difference between the zr-004 filter and the zr-006 filter besides 15 dollars?

Not much 'Google' info available about this, but on the ZeroWater FAQs page, someone asked what the difference was between ZR-001 and ZR-017, and ZeroWater responded with 'just the quantity is different'.
