The grits are only indicated by a pretty low quality sticker. Otherwise, great product.

So far used on live edge, whiskey barrel, poplar shelves, and rusted bands. Works great!

EDIT: see edit below for explanation of two stars. I got this hoping for a magical solution to sanding wooden chess pieces with the grain because I currently do it by hand and it takes FOREVER. Based on other reviews, I didn’t have high hopes for this product, but I actually think it works really well. It definitely works well at removing rust, but it also works pretty well for sanding my chess pieces. I think because you’re basically spinning strings, it’s going to be almost impossible for them to not fall into the grooves that have already been made. So they work fairly well on hard woods or closed grain woods, but using them on black walnut causes the porous grain to be made deeper faster than the surface is abraded. Similarly, if you use it on a punky wood, it will dig holes in it rather than evenly sanding the surface. EDIT: They dull very quickly. I didn’t get through my entire chess set before the mops failed to completely remove pencil marks. I took the review down to two stars because at a price of $24, these should last much much longer.

Was everything I expected

I wanted to sand down some panels in a door with details and found it time consuming doing by hand. Tried these and was so pleased with the results, and so much quicker!!! My sister has also used them to sand down her stair case spindles.

Efficace

Quite course bristles on this set so if you're trying to avoid scratches on a polished surface be mindful of this, I wrapped the bristles with a cloth to avoid this happening to a polished stainless steel exhaust pipe I was using it on.

I bought it to sand organic shapes of wood, does not remove anything.
