For bottles that means a leak test by shaking water in each bottle (5/5) Then I screw and unscrew the lids a few times to make sure they align properly and don't stick (4/5 tight for young kids but will get easier with some wear). Then I push and pull each mouth piece to make sure they snap easily (1/5 one doesn't close all the way and water comes out at a funny angle. This would not go well during a game).I make customer bottles for my kids' sports team and was happy this came with a purple top which are their team colors. It also came in a pack that was the right size. They are also the exact size needed for gatorade powder packets which is a bonus.But I will return these and use a different brand that is a bit pricier?
