As a person who lives architecture, this book is really cool and it really shows a change in styles and living post WW2.

Many architects are familiar with the “case study” homes that were designed after WW2 through the mid-sixties, but few lay persons are acquainted with this exceptional program to foster a more forward leaning approach to contemporary design. Beautiful homes!

They have some cool photos and interesting little architectural drawings- the book itself is super slim tho, I got it as a present so I was hoping for more of a substantial coffee table book vibe

I am a big fan of Pierre Koenig's style and his ability to create a beautiful design. I was interested in learning more about the case study program, and this book seemed like a bargain. It has sketches and drawings about each of the case study homes, even the ones that were never built. Also makes a nice coffee table book. I will be buying more of the Taschen books on architecture, art and design.

The other Case Study book is multilingual, with a difficult physical format, and roughly the same amount of photos as this one. This book in itself encapsulates the Case Study feel much more than that one - succinct, clear, as the title of the review says...
