Good solution to a severed cord. Simple. Strip back, use screwdriver to open the hinged part, strip back cord, screw attach the three lines, fit the cord (a tight fit), close hinge, screw tight, wrap a bit of good electric tape. Total about ten minutes. Works!

Wire Grounding Cord Outlet is a reliable and easy solution if you need to repair or replace the end of an extension cord. Installation was pretty straightforward thanks to the Clamptite hinged design, which makes wiring much easier than some other replacement plugs. Just open it up, connect the wires, tighten everything down, and you’re ready to go. It only took a few minutes to bring an old cord back to life. The thermoplastic body feels sturdy and durable, and the cord grip holds the cable securely so it doesn’t pull loose during use. It works perfectly with standard household tools and appliances since it’s rated for 15 amps and 125 volts. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the internal space can feel a little tight when working with thicker cords, so you may need to take your time when positioning the wires. Overall, it’s a solid, dependable replacement outlet that saves you from throwing away a perfectly good extension cord.

Easy to install and worked just fine.

Both female and male very easy to attach to wires. Much better than conventional outlets.

Good for occasional use once you get used to fitting the wires; however it does not stand up to daily use under moderate load. The flat terminals are one sided which means it won't grip plug well enough to keep a good connection. Then it slowly melts. I've gone through 3 in 2 years for my water distiller (~800W), which I use outside in good weather. I've since gone to a 2 outlet box setup or a heavy round outlet. The mating plug seems okay.

I had a 50 foot extension cord that had been left outside and the last 10 feet was getting frayed. Instead of throwing the whole thing away I bought one of these and fixed the cord for a lot less than a whole new cord would’ve cost. And I was in need of a 40 foot extension cord anyway!!

Works, but flat 3 line extension, you have to modify the plug

Good. Been in service a few years in an outdoor environment with no problems.
