Why does the bag say made in China when you operate out of Florida? That is what sold me on my decision to purchase yours.

I apologize for the confusion. We are based in Jacksonville, FL. However, some of our products are manufactured in other countries. These charcoal bags happen to be manufactured in China and shipped to you from warehouses right here in the USA.

Does this product eliminate odors by toilets?

Probably so. I had smoke smell in my RV. So I placed 4 bags in my RV and bingo, within 2 days all the smoke smell was gone. No more smell. I highly recommend these Bamboo Charcoal Bags.

This looks like charcoal from the grill. Can I literally grind up chunks of Kingsford and get the same result?

Technically, yes. But, regular charcoal won't be as effective as the activated charcoal in these bags. Activated charcoal is produced at higher temperatures than regular charcoal which makes it much more porous. Activated charcoal is more effective at absorbing and filtering bad odors and air particles.

will they work to absord musty and moldy basement odors?

I would start with getting some DampRid bags and hanging them all around. The bags are moisture absorbers, and they have a nice smell. These air purifying bags will help eliminate odor, but not deal with moisture. If you have a lot of mold, you may need to get some mold remover and wash the entire basement down, as mold can be dangerous.

Great for fridges

I was reluctant to try these but am glad i made the purchase. We put one in the fridge and it removed the smell of pungent fruits (e.g. rockmellon). We also put one in the car and laundry and its been great.

They work!

Because of the layout of our house, we needed to put our cat’s litter box in our primary bedroom closet. Although we keep it very clean, there was always a little louder. That’s why I bought these and have had them two days and they have helped immensely! Even my husband noticed that it smelled better. I would highly recommend them. We have also put them in other areas around the house, other closets in the laundry room.
