How would I know whether to buy medium or small size splint?

You need to measure your palm circumference to determine the size of the splint you require- measure from the "v" where the thumb and the index finger meet, around the circumference of the palm ......small - 6" to 7"; Sm.Plus - 6 1/2" to 7 1/4"; Medium - 7" to 8"; Med.Plus 7 1/4" to 8 1/4".  If you need further sizing just let me know.

How do you determine your hand and thumb size? this item is non-returnable and would like to size it correctly.

As the pre-ordering/packaging instructs, you need to measure around  /maybe slightly below the knuckles.  It also mentions that for 'plus' sizes, they are designed about a 'half size larger in the hand and one size larger in the thumb for those with enlarged thumbs'.  ( took this quote directly off the package they arrived in)  I am sure it should also be on the order form. If yours is like mine, i would not try it due to the stitching causing it to ravel a loose.  I have an actual comfort cool from the ortho clinic and thought I was ordering the same one for backup, while washing original one, but have found out theses are NOT comfort cools by any stretch of the imagination & is just a poor replication of one.  My  thumbs on mine are too long & extend out far above my nails.  What is shown is a "real" comfort cool" & mine doesn't look feel nor wear anything like my original one.  A waste of money, but I do use them for back-up for only short periods of time since, it causes an abnormal thumb extension/position when wearing it, where the real splint does not.  Good luck!!!
