Did I mention Stan Lee...
The "Good Book" for aspiring comic artists. Even if you're not an artist this book while also alternatively help you understand what comic art entails. I've owned this book several times. as i am often surrounded by budding young artist, I constantly give my copies away. It's that good.

lots of good step-by-step exercises
Great book. Has lots of exercises and gives details step-by-step instructions that are easy enough for a 10-year-old to practice and learn basic drawing techniques. Thanks

The Art Community Considers This The Art Bible
This book is amazing for beginners, advanced and exper artists alike. It doesn't teach just about comics, but a decent amount of fundamentals that the beginner artist would need to know. Like perspective, shape, form, values and so on. It also shows step by step examples how to go about these things as well instead of those "don't do this, but do this" that don't explain much of why that's wrong. I believe the book is amazing, regardless what you are going for whether it's comics or not. It also teaches about some anatomy in a couple of different builds. Even some of them in different poses. In summary, the book does teach a lot, even if you're only looking for the key principles of fundamentals. It's one of the best books. But if you're looking for serious in depth ones on a particular topic (anatomy, perspective etc) with more deep details it's best to find books more dedicated to it like Taco, Tom Fox and etc.

Trying to Learn
Came early and in good condition. It's a little hard to grasp some of the drawing instructions but that is okay.
