Great Looking EZ Track Needs Modification To Join With These
I bought 2 of these Bachmann #5 turnouts.One left,and one right I like them as they offer a more realistic look to your layout. At first I was confused by them, as 2 pieces of EZ track can not be connected side by side, as the y-section on these turnouts is too narrow to accommodate two pieces of EZ Track without cutting some of the roadbed away. Something that I didn't know before I purchased the turnouts. I looked on Youtube, and the Bachmann forum, but came up empty for an answer. I already suspected that joining these wyes to my layout was going to require surgery on the roadbed of two pieces of EZ Track ,but I wanted to be sure. So, I had an idea to go back and look at the reviews of this track on Amazon, which is where I purchased the first turnout. Lo and behold ! The answer was right on top in the question and answer section of this very product review forum! I had my solution, and the result is awesome ! They also work great without any transitional issues for my On30 trains. I highly recommend them !

looking for a good looking and protypical HO switch?
Too often one sees not scale turnouts on an HO railroad..but these #5's are just what i needed! these look better than the typical HO scale #4 turnouts.....good job!

Not the E-Z track
Pro: It is a smoother #5 turnout, which allows for a larger steam locomotive to pass Did not have an issue with derailment so far. Cons: Not Bachman standard and does not allow for both sides of the turn to be used by the E-Z snap track. Manual alteration is required. (It makes me believe it was either licensed out or even a knock) Expensive for none compatible product.
