Period. *by A***V on February 13, 2012* My very fair son (think of a glowing white moon) takes surf camp in the summer (we live in So. Cal). The first year he had to skip at least 1`day to give him a rest from the sun and to let the burn heal. Even in a full suit the face, neck and hands are still vulnerable. The surf camp instructors told us about Vertra, they wear it every day. It Works. Really, really works. My son has not burned since we started using it. Even in waves, surfing, getting tumbled, boogie boarding, playing on the beach and sweating. Has to be reapplied a few times during the day, but it works. No burn. Wish we had found this product years ago. The expense is more than worth it, especially when we think about the risk for skin cancer. There are other good blocks out there, but none as effective as Vertra. Ask a surfer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product & Sunscreen! *by R***K on June 23, 2014* I have been searching for quite some time for a "tinted", waterproof, sweat-proof sunscreen and think I finally found it in the Vertra SPF 35 Sports Sunscreen. I live in the South where summers are hot and humid and regular sunscreen and makeup can just melt off my face in no time; plus I have oily skin to boot. I "love" the fact this sunscreen stick comes in the natural beige shade too, because that is the shade of makeup I usually use. I just wash my face, put on some oil-free moisturizer and then swipe the Vertra Sunscreen stick over my face and blend in with my fingers. I do top it off with some loose mineral powder with sunscreen for additional oil control. The only drawback is the price, I have noticed it is cheaper on some other sites by a couple of dollars so may order from them instead in the future.
