Why does it contain dicalcium phosphate?

Douglas Laboratories tells us that the dicalcium phosphate is used in the tableting process to help compress the ingredients and add structural support to the product.

Anyone know if these are vegan? Their website doesn’t say.

What is the difference between the prolonged-release formulation and the controlled-release one?

Douglas Laboratories Melatonin Prolonged Release contains 3 mg while Melatonin Controlled Release contains 2 mg of high purity melatonin. They both use a prolonged-release tablet, formulated to slowly breakdown and release in the small intestine.
