Then I added Go To Sleep, My Love and that has been a favorite every night for months. I just received this title and read it to my now 13 month old daughter and this may take the #1 spot. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful! The poetic story is so touching and it melts my heart! My daughter has enjoyed these books thoroughly. After reading, we go through and identify all the animals and their sounds. It makes a fun interactive game. These books will stay in our collection for years as classics. A great gift! Their a varied use of colors that pleasing that while vibrant are not too much so as to be too stimulating before bed. It is a good size to be comfortable to hold with a baby in your arms for a bed time story and also big enough for an infant to hold and flip the pages themselves. There is variety to the way the format of the pages which keeps things moving at an engaging pace. Some have a few sentences and gives time to linger on the images for a little, others a few words. It also gives the opportunity for the child to engage when older by asking them a couple of questions. In summary, there is a reason this book is so popular. It is very well thought out.
