I spent weeks researching a drum set for my 7 year old. I wanted something small to fit our space, not too expensive in case he didn’t commit to drumming, and (most importantly) not a cheap toy. He’s obsessed with instruments and past the stage of gimmicky toy instruments. This fit the bill. Mendini is an amazing company. I was impressed after researching them and how they make real instruments for avid music loving kids to learn. After hours looking at other similar products I decided to get this and I am very glad I did. Despite seeing that they made real instruments for kids, admittedly I still expected an instrument similar to other drum toys. They sound the part but aren’t really exact. As soon as I opened the box and saw the quality of the cymbal I was surprised. The quality of everything is fantastic. The parts are well made and nothing about this feels cheap. The construction is also simple enough I feel my son will be able to adjust things to his liking in no time. This is a real drum. I feel this is important for parents to know. This isn’t something cute to get a toddler, because they’ll ruin it in 6 months. This is a real instrument to get kids who genuinely want to learn how to play and have something special. This is a special thing for me to give my son for Christmas and I could not be happier. The instructions were a little difficult to understand. Of course, I attempted to build it at midnight on Christmas Eve so I’m thankful my husband was there to decipher and help. It took a bit of time to put together but all in all it was not bad.

Perfect size for 8-11 yo. Well made, similar materials as a full size kit. Takes up small sq. ft. and fits great in an average size bedroom. Loud enough for the beginner experience but not too loud for parents to question their parenting choices. For an even better experience search "how to tune a 16in. base drum"

I spent far more time than is warranted doing research on $70-$100ish kids drum sets and arrived on this purchase. I am happy and want to note a few things. Reading reviews of this drum kit there were a few issues / red flags that gave me pause. I made the purchase anyway and was pleasently surprised to see that Cecilio has evidently addressed some of the recurring issues. Don't know if every set but my assuaged concerns include: -Pedal Squeaking - There were several comments about a loud squeaking chain driven bass drum pedal. They appear to have corrected this by using a spring / tether system. No sqeaks now - No Instructions Included - I saw several comments that said the unit arrived with no instructions and you had to download a PDF from their site. There were instruction in my package and they were actually pretty good. Also the assembly is not that complicated. You build the base drum (shell, membrane, rims) the rest is pretty much done - Cheap / Breaking Hardware - This was not what I experience. Not exactly NASCAR quality alloy or anything but the hardware seemed pretty standard grade and I didn't have any issues tightning things down Thats it. Promise I'm not getting paid by Cecilio but I thought if you were shopping and came across the same concerns it would be helpful to know, that in the case of the unit I received at least, that these issues have been addressed.

Super cute excellent quality tiny drum set. We purchased as a birthday gift for our 1yr old grandson to grow into this year. It’s a bit big for him now, but with daddy’s help he immediately started banging on it. His eyes lit up and his smile was priceless. While this set was a little over the top for a 1yr old, it did not cost much more than a plastic baby toy, and will last him so much longer! Really well constructed, legit quality drum set. Daddy, a drummer, was impressed! Our set came with a slight flaw, but the seller was very responsive and quick to reply. They have said they will mail out a replacement part for the bent drum pedal. Have not yet received that, but hoping they follow through. All in all it is a really great set, awesome color, and sturdy construction. Best for tiny tots...would not get for kids over 10, even then it is a bit small (they sell a larger one for older kids). But definitely perfect for little ones as a starter set.

Instructions was ok it could been more detailed.But i must say once i figured it out it came together nice. I can’t wait for my 3yo daughter to wake up and see it for her birthday!

This is a solid kids’ drum set toy that’s a lot of fun for little ones to play with. The sound and build quality aren’t the best, but it serves its purpose as a beginner toy. My kids enjoy banging away on it and get a lot of entertainment out of it. The downside is durability — it breaks fairly easily, and replacement parts are almost impossible to find. Once something gives out, you’ll likely be buying a new set. Still, while it lasts, it keeps the kids happy. TL;DR: Fun for kids and works as a starter toy, but breaks easily and has no easy replacement parts.

Bought this set for my Grandson's birthday. It is very well made and easy to put together. Sound for a junior set is also very good. Delivery was on time and well packed. Would definitely recommend this product.

Great quality great sound! A little big for my 2 year old lol but she loves it! It's a great looking set for her play area and doesnt have that ''I'm a cheap kids toy'' feel.

The bass drum is a little small but the sound and reach adjustments are endless. Fantastic set. The only letdown (small one) is the sound from the cymbal. Numbed to a hi-hat style would have been better. Otherwise well done!

Great set for my 3 year old. Very sturdy construction, easy to assemble, and he loves it.
