Cleans well even without ultrasonic bath
Cleaned the clock effectively. I wanted to clean the mechanism of a regulator wall clock which kept stopping. I took weights and pendulum off, removed the mechanism from the case and took off the hands and clock face. I also removed and chiming mechanism, mainly to reduce the size. Choosing a day to be able to work outside (good choice because of the smell) I used an old 2 litre plastic ice cream container and about three quarters filled it with the solution diluted as directed on the bottle (I didn't want to fill it too much to reduce the risk of spills). I was then able to immerse the clock mechanism, and left it for a few hours 'jiggling' and turning it over occasionally. I thought I would try cleaning without an ultrasonic bath first and it worked very well. The clock came out shiny leaving some dirt behind in the ice cream tub. Now with the clock lightly oiled and re-assembled it is working perfectly.
