Awesome Product
I was skeptical about this item. As soon as I got it I tried it three times and it worked great. I always fought with tying the swivel on and it holding. This tool makes the job so simple. I would buy more if I needed them. I don't even need my reading glasses to tie a knot.

Great product for the tackle box! Takes some practice but makes knot tying much easier
This product works and makes knot tying easier with cold hands. It takes a while to get the hang of it but works great with a little practice.

Works after you get the hang of it
I really like this tool with a few exceptions. A link to a video with instructions is helpful. Once I got the hang of it ( after around 10 tries) It went smooth and fast. Beware the hook doesn't have anywhere to securely set it while tying so you will get stuck ( a lot ). The little grooved area for the string to sit in should be deeper to keep it from moving out and around the tool. The line likes to slide to the black end which makes it tricky to keep a good loop to pull the knot through. Also don't leave a big tag line hanging out of where the spring traps it to tie the knot or you will get held up trying to pull the loop off the end. Just put the tip in the spring trap area makes life easier. Its not like it saves a ton of time tying with this tool rather than by hand but it helps if you don't see the little line that well and makes a real nice secure knot. I don't know how long it will hold up since it's plastic and feels a bit flimsy but so far after being in bottom of tackle bag for a month it's not broken yet. I do like the tool and would buy again. Works much better than the old one piece style of nail knot tiers. A bit of updating would make it an outstanding tool. Hope this helps

Too big and bulky for me
Too bulky for light lines. Good pair of hemostats works much better.

Works as advertised- it's simple and easy to use
The best thing in my tackle box. I take my boy fishing and he's always getting his line caught up in trees or bushes. I was spending more time tieing hooks on his line than actually fishing, until I got this. Now I can do it in a snap and get it right every time.

Indispensible
Can't go fishing without this tool. Easy to use, especially for older hands and eyesight challenges. I was given one, have given as gifts to other sportsmen, use for quick equipment changes. Knots don't seem to fail.

Now he can continue to fish
Between arthritic fingers and worsening close-up vision, my hubby was ready to give up fishing because it took him so long to re-tie his line. I bought him three of these (fresh water tackle box, salt water tackle box, and garage). We watched the video. There as some grumbling as it took him several tries for the technique to "click" using heavy leader line. On to the thin 4-pound test monofilament. He's grinning "these are just like the knots I tied when I was younger". Thank you for a great product.

Why bother?
The videos on you tube makes this tool look great, however I found I could tie knots faster by hand using a clothes pin, the three videos all use a (weighted) jig head which helps keep the hook down when spinning the twists but none show it with just a plain (unweighted) hook which tends to follow the line when twisting especially light line. And what is the slot at the bottom (across from the shirt clip) for?
