Kobalt Utility Knife & 11 Blades, Foldable Speed Release Quick Change Box Cutter

This is the nicest utility knife I have owned. I always just got the cheap ones before but I use a razor so often in wood working and crafts that I figured I would "spoil" myself. Totally worth it. Perhaps more expensive ones are even nicer, I won't know because this one does it for me. Holds the blade really well, spring is nice, closes easily, cuts like a dream. My only complaint would be that the release mechanism to close the blade forces you to put your hand a tiny bit in harms way, but that is trifling. Super satisfied.

Loved the ease of which the blade opens and stays latched for safety. The guard that comes with it to protect the blade when not in use. It locks closed and stays closed. Compact for ease to carry in a pocket, the color pops and stands out. It is highly durable, and with the extra blades it makes it easy to change when your blade gets dull. The price point is what I loved most and Lowe’s has decided to bring in another brand to their stores so to find Kobalt on Amazon, I jumped at getting one.

Quick delivery and quality product

I now have three of these knives and plan on buying them again as needed in the future. They're really well made and sturdy; holding up great during the renovations I'm doing on my house. Using these to cut just about everything; cardboard, carpet, padding, vinyl plank flooring, you name it. The blades are tough - I haven't changed some of them out after two weeks of heavy use. They're incredibly easy to change out by gripping down on the two notches behind the blade. It's easy to fold the blade, too - ensuring I don't slice a knee open while I'm crawling around putting down my flooring. No chance of them popping back open on their own. The blue is nice because they standout among other tools, so when I have them in a big pile of 'stuff' or in a bucket, etc., I can pretty easily see one. The price is a bit of a steal on these. Highly suggest picking one up.

Absolutely love my knife. Very heavy duty. It's a bit stiff to open and close but that should ease up with use. I had a knife just like it and I gave it to a customer at work because she loved it. So I had to get me another one.

I was gifted a slightly smaller version of this box cutter several years ago and recently it was stolen. It was definitely the best I’ve ever used and hoped this would be the same. Cons: Size, unfortunately it’s a little too big in my hands and bulky in my pocket. I think they’ve discontinued the smaller size. Pros: Opens/closes very smooth, nice color, does its job well.

Feels solid, high quality. Good grip with the an indentation for your forefinger to securely hold it and guide the cut. Using it to replace a cheap one that fell apart from light use. I just bought a house and ordered a lot of furniture for it. I have been cutting up many large cardboard boxes for the last few weeks, and this one is helping me greatly, I keep it in my pocket because I find that I can always use it for something. It's small because it doesn't store the spare blades internally so it fits comfortably in my pocket. It takes two hands to open and close it, which I don't mind because I think it's safer with a blade so sharp. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with any instructions at all. It's not hard to figure it out but with a dangerous, sharp, cutting tool it's better to have written instructions and precautions for safe operation. The package mine came in did not have the instructions printed on the back that you see in the product photos.

This is a solid quality knife. Easy quick change blade. Well worth it, will buy again.
