Review: VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER - After doing much research on different portable power stations I chose the Ecoflow Pro and I'm happy I did. The main use I have for this power supply is to run my Iceco VL fridge. Our 7 year old son has Diabetes type 1, and keeping his medicine below 80 degrees F is our #1 priority on road trips. The Ecoflow Pro does what it says it will do. I also purchased the extra battery for added comfort and extra measures. I have equipped my truck with a 100 watt solar panel that is permanently mounted above the cab. On our last camping trip I made sure the Ecoflow Pro and extra battery were fully charged before we left. I stocked the Ice fridge fully and made sure it was at 36 degrees F before we left. After a two hour drive, because of the solar panel, I still had 100% of battery when we arrived to our camping destination. Because of the pass through charging capabilities of the Ecoflow Pro, the Iceco fridge was powered by the solar panel. When we lost sunlight is when the Ecoflow began to shine. With 5 people constantly opening and closing the cooler over night, our Ice fridge remained at 36-40 degrees F, which is perfect for our food, drinks, and most importantly diabetic medicine (insulin). By morning, before the solar charger started producing, the battery level of the Ecoflow pro only dropped to 78%! And by noon the same day, the solar panel had fully recharged the EF Pro to 100%, and once again, the sun powered our Ice for the remainder of the day. On our last day we had some clouds however the panel was still able to bring the EF Pro back to 100% before the sun started to fall. When we arrived home from our trip the EF Pro only fell to 78% at its lowest point during our entire camping trip and I was EXTREMELY impressed. I am so happy with my purchase that I also purchased the Ecoflow Max and I have the same enthusiasm as well with its performance. One of the features I like most about the EF Pro and Max is their charging capabilities. Both units will recharge from 0% to 100% in less than 2 hours, and to me that is important. Also, these have an "auto" feature for charging. My truck has a built in inverter that puts out 400 watts. I also have a "cigarette" style power supply in the bed of my truck, however I don't use it, but I could if I needed to. But the main point is that I can leave the AC charging port of the EF Pro plugged in to the inverter of my truck AND have the solar panel connected at the same time. If I'm driving on a cloudy day or at night, the unit will automatically charge from the AC plug and if I am parked and the vehicle is not running, the EF Pro will automatically switch to solar charging. I can't express the comfort, convenience, and safety I feel now that I have the EF Pro working for me and strongly feel that everyone else with this unit will experience the same "quality of life" feeling I have, knowing that their possession of an Ecoflow Pro will perform it's duties very well with a sense of security. Now the bad: there really isn't any bad, just one small annoyance and that is the wifi and app connection of these Ecoflow products. They connect to your device via wifi which if you are at home isn't much of an issue. BUT, if you are camping wifi doesn't really help you much. It would be nice to see a bluetooth feature in the future however there is one plus side of the wifi. If you are away from home and you have cell phone reception you can actually monitor the status of the EF Pro if it is at home and connected to wifi. This is actually a great feature if you are using the EF Pro as a UPS unit. Even with this minor annoyance of lack of bluetooth, I still give the EF Pro a 5 star rating and will probably purchase more of these just to have for backup reasons. I haven't even mentioned the 100w usb-c charging port, which works flawlessly. The AC ports worked great with our air pump for inflatable mattresses and boats. If you're an "outdoorsy" that needs to charge drones, cameras, phones, anything with a battery, look no further, the EcoFlow products are an excellent choice and money well spent.
Review: Great little mid sized & compact solar generator! - This unit came well packaged, and fast. We had been looking for a home solar generator to supplement our dual fuel generator in case of an outage. The pros: It charges extremely fast. My experience was 3% to 100% in about an hour plugged in. This was good because if I had to charge it up with my generator, that means less fuel used. I assume the solar charging capabilities would be the same . My first test, and the main reason I bought it was to keep my 7cu ft deep freezer running. I charged to 100% before use and then plugged it in. The unit took the load and ran it perfectly overnight, about 12 hours. You can see the voltage load from the freezer cycling off and on and our freezer stabilizes at about 550- 600 watts after a brief surge. The Ecoflow handled it perfectly. The next test I did was attach my surge protector power strip to it and plugged both of my freezers 7cu ft freezers into the power strip. The Ecoflow handled both perfectly again but for a shorter time, about 6-7 hours. I could have run it probably a bit longer, say 8-10 but I was about to go to sleep and didn't want it to die overnight. This test was pretty acceptable for me because I could potentially see using the solar gen in an emergency power outage overnight and charging it back up with my propane gen the next day. For a temporary outage, this would be fine for a few days to a few weeks if you have enough fuel or a big solar panel to recharge it. The price is also really good! I got a $30 instant savings coupon and got mine for about $540 us tax. For the money, this is a solid first of supplemental power system. If you combined this with a generator or even two of these, I think it would be very useful in a temporary power outage to keep most things going until the power comes back on. The drawback: It took me a bit of searching but I found the charge cycle stays which state this unit is good for about 500 charges from zero to 100% before it starts to degrade. That seems like a lot except if your looking at an extended power outage or if it's going to be used in an area with no power, that's a little over a year. I'm also pretty sure the max solar wattage it will take is 200 watts. That's kind of on the smaller side if you are a prepper or living off grid. But for most backyard preparedness minded people, that should be fine. Hopefully that helps, overall im very happy with the performance for the money. I will probably be looking I to buying either a second unit to rotate the charge/use cycles and extend the life of the units or possibly something bigger with a higher charge cycle life in the future.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ UPDATE: 5 Stars with New Firmware (OLD: Disappointingly Loud, Only Good for Some Purposes)
*by J***E on April 25, 2021*

UPDATE: I persevered with getting my mobile app to connect to the EcoFlow in order to give this thing a fair shake. I'm glad I did, because the newest firmware update solves almost all of my gripes. The only gripe I have now is the placement of the flashlight. The firmware solves most of the fan problems, having the fan only kick on when the device is hot. There is a "Quiet Charge" mode that reduces the charging wattage to 100W to prevent the fan from turning on. That means that it will not kick on when the battery is plugged in and fully charged (or charging slowly); it will not kick on when AC power is on without a device connected. Additionally, the app allows you to shut off the annoying beeping noise every time a button is pressed. Now, with the app working properly, the beeping shut off, and the fans silenced when not truly needed, this device is truly 4.75 stars (-0.25 for the placement of the light), and it should serve me well for camping and off-grid telework. PREVIOUS: I had incredibly high hopes for this generator based on all of the rave reviews, and I was so excited to receive the package in the mail. However, I now question the integrity of many of those reviews, as I'm quite disappointed. Perhaps it is asking too much to have quiet fans. I purchased this as a multipurpose battery: camping, road travel and outdoor telework, portable supply for light farm use, outdoor movie night, and backup for power outages. After just 24 hours with this thing, I can tell you that it is only suitable for light farm use and power backup. The number one reason for this is the obnoxiously loud fans. Do not believe the reviews that say the fans aren't loud; they are loud. They are loud enough that if you have this thing in your tent, they will drive you crazy. They are loud enough that if you have it in your car, they will drive you crazy. If you and your significant other are cuddling in a tent watching a movie on your laptop, the fans will keep you from enjoying the movie. The fans are on whenever the battery is charging or connected for charging (i.e. even at 100% charge, the fans will run). The fans are on whenever you have AC power turned on, even if you aren't drawing power. I connected a 7w light, and the fans were running. I disconnected the light, now drawing 0 watts, and the fans stayed on. My wife, sitting 20 feet away two rooms over could hear the fans and said, "SEND IT BACK!" Enough with the fans. The other noise is an obnoxiously loud beep whenever a button is pushed: the flashlight button, the power button, the AC button, etc. There should be a way to adjust the volume, because again, if we're camping or in the car, this beep is irritatingly loud. On to the UI/UX: First, I find it incredibly annoying that some options can only be set through an app that connects via WiFi. Bluetooth would have been must better, but better yet would be an on-screen menu. The app itself looks pretty, but does not function very well. The company seems more concerned about cosmetics than functionality. To be honest, I never fully got the app set up because, although I went through the registration process, WiFi setup process, etc, the device itself had trouble connecting to my home network. This would cause the app to not save the device which I had just added, so I was caught in an endless loop. I gave up. The flashlight: My final gripe is the placement of the flashlight. Why in the heck is it placed on the front? It makes it totally unusable. At the very least they could have placed it on the back side, where it would shine in the opposite direction of the status screen as to not blind you at night. Even better though, they could have placed it like the Jackery where it is on the end; with this direction, it then acts like a flashlight as you are walking with it along a path at night. Instead, it is nearly impossible to use it for another other than an emergency light. One last negative note: While this can power devices up to 1200w (temporary surge to 1800w), it comes with a catch. It is best done for things with heating elements which don't require high voltage because it accomplishes the additional wattage by reducing the voltage. This is not a dealbreaker, but it is something that i don't feel is very clearly advertised. The good: It's certainly not all bad, especially if you don't want to use this thing close to you and expect quiet operation. The good: * First, the 700w+ of power is enough to keep all of our devices charged overnight while waiting for the sun to come up the next day to recharge from our solar panel. *I like the fact that the solar is nearly plug and play. I connected the EcoFlow (using the included cable) directly to my $90 Renogy 100w panel, and it got to work charging, even displaying the amount of watts it was generating. I found this to be outstanding. I have not tried to charge from my car yet, but included was a cigarette lighter charging cable. * The weight and size are excellent for all-around use. * The color/design is very nice and aesthetically pleasing. * Three AC power ports is nice, when other brands only offer 1 or 2. * The packaging of the device was outstanding. * Charging (from AC) is super fast. It sustained about 600w draw or so to charge up in just over an hour. Overall, I'm giving the device 3 stars and we are possibly sending it back to purchase a Jackery (also has fans, but much cheaper) or some other custom solution. If we needed/wanted this device only for power backup and working around the farm (i.e. powering tools far from an outlet), this would be an excellent device for us. However, we primarily planned to use it for camping, road trips, and teleworking out of our SUV...for that, the fans are simply unbearable. We would rather save $130 and get the Jackery, despite slightly lower output. Apparently the Jackery also has a fan that is on when the AC power inverter is turned on, but I would rather save the money.
